Electrical contracting is at the core of our business. Our knowledge and experience as electrical contractors, provides a foundation for an expanded array of related other services. To do business in today's world, you must rely on information technology which means complicated cabling systems. Unlike most electrical contractors, Votaw Electric has the capabilities to design and implement custom control systems for clients.
Services
Votaw Electric is an electrical contractor serving commercial, industrial, healthcare, and institutional customers in Northeast Indiana, Northwest Ohio, and Southern Michigan for over 50 years. With over 110 employees and 50 years experience in business, we have expanded in response to customer needs to provide control systems, communication cabling, and power quality services in addition to conventional electrical contracting.
To conduct business in today's e-commerce environment, companies rely on information technology, which requires interconnection and cabling. Votaw Electric can design and install all types of structured cabling systems including voice and data; security and access; TV; fire alarm; building management; etc.
Unlike most electrical contractors, Votaw Electric has the capabilities to design and implement control systems for clients. Our emphasis on technology allows us to keep pace with today's increasingly complex electrical requirements. We have the experience and knowledge to handle CAD documentation, UL 508A listed industrial control panel assembly, PLC programming and complete turnkey installations. Unlike many other electrical contractors, we build the power and control skid completely in-house, and deliver and install directly to the site.

Called to get a quote for some substantial work at the business I manage. Was sent to someones voice mail and left a message. Waited 3 days and no return call. Called them back and there was no one there to talk to me. They called me back that day. They acted like I wasn't worth their time and that getting me a quote was going to be too much work for them. Wanted to know how soon I wanted the quote then acted as though their schedule was just too busy to quote my job. This is a $10-$15K job. I'll take my business somewhere else.
