We've used Mike, Jeff and Dave at Avenue Electric on our industrial buildings with amazing results. Their thorough "Make Safe" inspections following our tenants vacating uncovered multiple electrical safety issues left by our tenants. including some SIGNIFICANT electrical issues. Mike, Jeff and Dave showed us each issue and made cost effective recommendations to put our buildings back in sound electrical shape. Dave & Mike also consulted with a major corporate tenant of one of our industrial real estate brokerage clients whose electrician insisted they needed a $100,000+ power upgrade for their new equipment. Dave & Mike met with the tenant's staff multiple times, reviewed their electrical load requirements, prepared an engineering "load calc", and recommended a solution that was 60% less than the tenant's electrician. Avenue Electric has always gone "above and beyond" for us and our clients. and being industrial property owners and brokers for 35+ years we know great electricians when we run into them. The customer service I received when calling the business was very courteous and professional. Not only were they able to attend to the work right away, but the technicians were extremely knowledgable and made sure I was aware of all that needed repaired and replaced to keep me up and running. Two years ago I had Avenue electronics to put in a motor for my electric gate and it has been working great till now so here's my recent for the one star. I call Wednesday because the gate was opening and not closing all the way we set an appointment for Friday at 3 o'clock around 3:30 PM I get a call from Mike excusing himself because he had just gotten back into the office and he asking me if we could reschedule the appointment.
I explained to him that I was actually going to call and cancel the appointment because after I work on the gate the problem seems to be gone but then again I couldn't figure out what it was that I did. I explained to Mike that I wasn't too sure which way to go about it and that I did not want to cancel an appointment that I had made and taking his time up, he suggested to reschedule for Friday and do a service call to the unit since it has not been serviced for two years.
This service call would consist of lubrication all around the motor and the gate making sure the control panel has no problem and I will be a charge of $125. I agreed to it and I thought well maybe he'll find whatever is wrong with the gate. After waiting all morning and having somebody get here past noon because he had a flat tire which really I didn't mind because I was going to be home all day, within less than five minutes the guy is telling me there's nothing wrong with my unit otherwise it would show on the control panel and there's really nothing to service because nothing in my unit needs lubrication except for the chain and I already had done that, i use my own little small broom and brush to take out the dust. didn't have one. the cover was put back on and we were done.
I asked if that was it he said yes to be honest with you your unit does not need any service there's nothing to do do it. I explained that that's not what Mike told me and he said there is Eunice that you could lubricate there's other things you can do but not yours so I said then what are you charging me $125 for if there is no service done to the unit his answer was this is what it is.
The guy went to call Mike and told him that there was a problem at that. I told him no there is no problem I will pay you The $125 but I was misled so he puts Mike on the phone with me and this was our conversation. I explained, I don't have a problem paying you $125 but I do have a problem with you making it seem like this unit needs service when there's really nothing to service.
So he tells me that that's what he would charge for a guy to come out here I explained again that I know he has to charge for a guy to come out here but that he knew better and that's what I was upset about. His answer at that time was stop stop let's do this don't pay me anything but don't call me ever and that's when I said this conversation is over.
If you're not able to be honest with your clients listen to them with an open mind and Address their concerns with professionalism your are not the company I would ever contract.

I used Avenue Electric when I was the General Manager of the Ayres Inn Corona East/West Riverside. The work I needed was adding lights on a motion sensor to a meeting room that was non-exsistent. David, Avenue Electric's owner, actually had to drop the ceiling to add lights to the room and even contacted a drywall person to patch the holes he had made.
