Had a great experience with Haveman electric after a lightning strike damaged existing wiring throughout my house. Benny was prompt, courteous and thorough, explaining everything as he went through the house, and completed the work in a single visit. I highly recommend Haveman and they will be my first call for any future work

How these guys have superb ratings is beyond me. I bought a new hot tub. I asked them if they could come quote me for install. They said yes and scheduled it. I was at work, but told my wife to show them where the spa is, and to show them the electrical. First, she texts me because the dude tracked mud in the house, including downstairs which is carpeted.

Then he leaves without saying anything. Two days later, no email, no phone call, no quote left behind. If they didn't want to take the job, say something. Now I'm back to finding an electrician after wasted time, and I get to steam clean the carpet. Thanks for coming over just to make a mess.

Terry saved Christmas! Terry from Haveman repaired my Mother's pre-lit Christmas tree. The tree was only 2 years old and expensive so it would have been a waste to throw it away. Terry fixed it good as new and left with a smile and a lot of fake snow all over his clothes. Thank you! I needed work done to satisfy an appraisal on a home I was selling. It was holding up three closings. I called Don at Haveman Electric. Other electricians couldn't get out there for weeks, Don squeezed us in and they took care of the work for WELL under budget and even did more work than expected. Timing, professionalism, friendliness, knowledge, pricing.it all lined up and we were able to close all three transactions in time thanks to their responsiveness. Highly recommended

I was reading through some of the reviews here and noticed that nearly every one was FIVE stars. This comes as no surprise to me. Just as one person wrote, I also knew Mel Haveman. He was the kind of guy that could earn respect from everyone that he met because he had high principals and he lived by them. I know Bill and Tom, as well, although it's been a while since I've seen them. The principals that Mel operated by were passed on to these guys and is evident with a 4.9 star Google review rating. Keep up the good work, guys.

Haveman was great throughout the process of updating our breaker box, and helping with some general electrical repairs in our house. Everyone my husband and I spoke with was courteous and eager to help. We'll certainly use them again in the future.

Fantastic electrician - made the appointment a few weeks out and he was on time, effective, and helpful

I'm not sure where my review went from a year ago, but I originally asked them for an itemized estimate for two jobs, adding a 220 outlet to my garage, and adding a circuit to the attic above the garage. The estimate they gave had both jobs completely separate, even though they were both involved running wire from the panel to the garage. I talked to them about it and they admitted the mistake and said it would be correct on the bill. Unfortunately, I had them do the work.

They billed both jobs completely separately. I called to complain, and they gave me a small discount. I still ended up paying $400/hour labor, plus materials, for one person and an assistant. Now it's a year later, and they sent me another bill for the full amount, not acknowledging that the full amount was wrong and I ALREADY PAID IT A YEAR AGO. Following up a few months later: The owner said they would take care of the incorrect bill, and I just received a PAST DUE notice that I had to call to get them to hopefully remove. I can't get away from this nightmare company!

There service was great and worked with use on timing for the work. I have used them for a number of projects and have been on the mark each time.

Scheduling was a bear, but once they were out they had everything knocked out of the park in no time! Worth the wait!

I've used Haveman multiple times and have always been pleased by the timeliness, the quality of the work and the very reasonable fees. In an emergency situation, they had a technician to our house within less than 30 minutes. I highly recommend them.

Getting a crew here took a little arm wrestling with the scheduler but impressed with Ed and appreciated how easy it was to work with haveman.

Very polite and on time to appointment. Came out same day of call and fixed problem right away. Did not need much done just change out electrical outlet that went bad, but lost power to half of house running off that line. A big relief to have it fixed quickly and at reasonable cost. Suzanne in the main office was very responsive and called me back as stated, within an hour to advise if someone could come to Saugatuck that day.

We had gotten quotes from this company for updated electrical work, pending the sale of our home. The gentleman who came out was very standoffish but professional. When my husband called them back, he had to do so 2 different times to get the company to fax the invoice over to our realtor. And when my husband did speak with the person that came to our home, he was very rude.

The only reason we even agreed to have them do the work is that our realtor advised us to use them because they will work with our title company versus us paying out the $1100 up front. If I had more time, I would have gathered additional quotes and went with another company. If you work in the business of providing a service to people, don't be rude. They will go elsewhere if possible.
