IBEW Local 25 is requesting pictures from our members of Local 25 events projects or completed projects. When members of Long Island, N.Y., Local 25 learned of a museum being built to honor a local Navy SEAL hero, they were more. We are the men and women of IBEW Local 25 We are two thousand people who have earned our living and raised our families by working in the unionized electrical construction, maintenance, and telecommunications industries on Long Island.
Services
Founded around the turn of the 20th century in 1891 as a part of the AFL, The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) emerged out of simply horrid working conditions for electrical workers. At the time of their founding, being an electrical worker meant making about $10 a week, low even for the era and a death/injury rate that was double other industrial jobs.
A common, prevailing notion in the Long Island construction industry is that it costs more to work with organized electricians or electrical contractors. Long Island's electrical customers and business owners are increasingly recognizing this as a myth. Sure, you can always go lowest dollar on anything in life.
The Code of Excellence is not only about an IBEW job built right the first time, on schedule, and under budget; it is also about pride in IBEW membership and craftsmanship and leaving a lasting impression of quality workmanship with the customer. Local Union training with respect to the Code of Excellence program may be facilitated by an International Representative but, regardless of delivery method or by whom, the Code of Excellence program training is to convey a strong message that IBEW construction members will.
Our officers and staff are here to serve our hard-working members, and to assist our members and the Long Island Public Community who may have questions about our organization. Please contact us directly to allow us to get you the information you need as quickly as possible!

BROTHERHOOD? HA! I informed my former teacher John F. who was on layoff at the time that my division(sign division) was very busy and he should consider working there. I explained the pay is slightly less but you drive to a shop, take a company truck and gets a fair amount of overtime. He spoke to my delegate Kevin S. and the next day he was at my shop.

Since signs is a specialty that isn't taught in the IBEW schooling I had tu TEACH my teacher how to wire up neon signs. THAT SAME DAY I WAS LAID OFF. WHAT KIND OF BROTHERHOOD IS THAT. HE DIDN'T EVEN HOLD A CARD IN MY DIVISION. BUT BECAUSE OF WHO HE KNEW HE WAS ALOUD TO STEAL MY JOB. WHAT A JOKE THIS UNION IS. FACTS AND I'LL GLADLY ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS THE LOCAL IBEW 25 HAS. IF THEY DARE.
