Walter was an electrician for the Indianapolis Water Company and when they decided to start outsourcing some of the electrical work, he founded Huff Electric, specializing in water and sewer power/control. Mr. Huff hired Jack Rider in 1950 and the company was incorporated in 1960. Over the years, Huff Electric has expanded into commercial, Industrial, medical, and residential work.Jack Rider took over the company in 1975 and his son, Steven Rider, a Purdue graduate in electrical engineering, took over the company in 2008.

Critical: Professionalism Showed up one hour late. After waiting 3 weeks Randy said he couldn't assemble a small to mid sized chandelier above a table. I explained job in detail to scheduler. Would have been nice had they listened to me before booking someone who cannot assemble crystal chandeliers. Service: Light fixture installation

Didn't actually have work done by them but scheduling an estimate and getting the numbers back was very smooth; they were very responsive. I was going to use Huff bc my usual electrician was unavailable but he ended up being able to do the work but I believe I would've been very happy with Huff and actually look forward to being able to use them in the future, should the need arise. Their pricing seems very fair and they are professional.

Huff Electric recently performed a fairly complex job at my home. We needed a new outlet with a dedicated circuit, and unfortunately for us, the breaker box was nowhere near the site. We were concerned there would be a lot of drywall tear-up. However, they did not have to do any of that. They spent time figuring out a solution. Their price wasn't all that terrible.
During both appointments, they were right on time, everyone was clean cut and one electrician was happy to spend time on the phone with my spouse explaining the job since he couldn't be here. Very great to work with this company and I will happily refer them to friends.
