Very good service. They showed up quickly and fit me into their schedule so that a rental was ready for tenants. Replaced 5 outlets and fixed a light switch for me for an extremely reasonable price. Will definitely continue to use them for all my properties!

We had a burned-out breaker, so American Electric sent a nice guy out to fix it. He installed a new one. I was happy, so we called back later and asked if they would send someone to replace all the breakers as a preventive measure. We set up a time and nobody showed up. I called to ask what happened and kept getting a voice message. Nobody returned my call.

I tried to call back a week or two later and got a voice message again, but the mailbox was full and wasn't accepting messages. So I called Electric Doctor. They responded with a professional guy who informed me that I didn't need to replace all the breakers, but he inspected them and found that the one right next to the other one that had burned out was also not in good shape.

He and I were both disappointed the American Electric guy had not checked it. It might have saved me some time and money. So from now on, American will not be getting any calls from me, and since your mailbox is full, this is the only message I can send - a Google review.

The fellows were able to come right out after the derecho that swept through the Midwest and repaired damage to our lines caused by falling branches. Very professional and took time to answer all my questions. Repair work done very well and when we were finally able to get power back from the electric company, we didn't have to worry about any delays because of the damage. Really appreciate the work they did. Thanks!

I had an issue with an outlet that caused a GFCI to consistently trip the breaker box downstairs.so I looked online, called around to find out what other home electrical repair businesses would charge (from $119-$150) for a service call and then called American Electric as they were fourth on my list. I got next day service and Kevin not only diagnosed the problem (incorrect wiring from a previous home electric repair company which I will never use again), he changed out the GFCI and did it in exactly one hour. So my total price (including that new GFCI) was $90. Kudos to Eric, Kevin and Trish. They are now my go-to people.

Long story, short.after my mother-in-law had a scare with an outlet bursting into flames, American Electric came out on icy roads, replaced 4 outlets and a light switch and charged her under $100. Even more amazing, though, is that the electrician even went out and salted her sidewalk and stairs for her because her arm was in a sling due to a dislocated shoulder. You just don't get service like that these days. Thank you for taking care of her in more than ways than one!

We had 2 outlets put outside and they were so professional, prompt and knowledgeable. We wouldn't hesitate to call them again

A problem developed in our upstairs ceiling lights. Very puzzling? American Electric was recommended to us and I am glad they were. In a word, Professionalism. Jeff was sent out to us. He was he was courteous and respectful, and more importantly he knew his stuff. He found the source of our problem, fixed it and was gone in under an hour. Price was more than reasonable.
