We had our gas fireplace cleaned after a much too long a time! Brittany Strusz was our technician. She did an amazing job in cleaning and making adjustments to our system so it will burn more efficiently. Her work as neat, she answered all my questions and left our home with a beautiful, new looking fireplace. I would highly recommend Brittany.

We purchased a new furnace from Comfort by Design in Hudson, WI, this past February. We got an excellent price from them for parts and labor (and we did get 3 estimates.they were the lowest for the higher quality furnace). They did a great job with install and customer service. Fast forward to September, and we have just moved back into our home because we had water damage - big water damage - this Spring.

Our home is a disaster zone right now.renovations not completed but "livable", and we just brought all or our belongings back in. Chaos. Dirty duct system as well, from construction and regular "dirt". This team that came in today; they were friendly and efficient, and didn't make one comment about the boxes and piles of stuff they had to work around.

But the best part was when I stepped into the garage later in the day. They had literally picked up the paper, boxes, and trash that I had tossed out there with the intent to clean up later, and placed it all in a neat pile. Granted, they had to work around it to get their equipment in, but they could have just stepped on it and left it there. Character is what you display when no one else is looking.

These 2 young people (Brittney and. Zack? I'm sorry I can't remember for sure!) showed their excellent character throughout the job, when they were seen and unseen. They have our business, period.

Called a week ago with a question for the sales team. Knowing that the service men work late hours. Left a message and never got back to. Called today on 69 21. At 4:30 the salesmen line was a recording. So I pushed 1 and talked to the nicest receptionist. Got a serviceman to call me about my thermostat on his busy day. He was very helpful. And very calm with me. Wasn't in a good mood at the time.

When the website says you are open till 5pm. I would expect at least one salesman ther till then. I would not run a company like this. Customers first. And work until your supposed to. Salery is always that way especially salesman. Seems like all the positives are service men. And office. Not sales

Initially I wrote a positive review of this company. Unfortunately what happened in the past ten days causes me to update to a negative one. While they did get to my house the same day and supposedly diagnosed the problem and said they could repair it, I asked if they would also advise on a new system since the unit to be repaired is 12 years old. Unbelievably, when offered the opportunity to replace at a much higher cost than repair, I could not get them to come out to look and provide a bid.

I called several days in a row and left messages asking to get this done because we have a tenant living in the building and he had had no hot water for days! (Comfort by design knew this.) Ultimately the tenant found his own plumber to come over and the gentleman diagnosed a completely different problem and fixed it on the spot. He said that the blower motor which comfort by design said needed replacing was fine. So now our tenant has hot water thank goodness, but I'm out the $79 I had to pay for comfort by design to misdiagnose the problem and not follow up. I want my money back.

Brittany came out and did an amazing job providing maintenance to our three fireplaces. I never knew they could look or operate as well as they did after she was done. I work from home and she was very respectful of me working. I am very pleased with the results and will look to hire them again.

Chuck from Comfort By Design repaired my direct vent wall furnace. He was very professional, knowledgeable and timely in completing the job!

We use Comfort by Design for our entire house - A/C, Furnace, Boiler, HVAC, Humidifier, & Fireplaces. We cannot stress that preventative maintenance is key and Justin takes care of us every spring and fall to make sure everything is good to go for when we need our units the most. We've been using Friers for years. Love 'em. In our home they've worked on electrical issues, installed a new A/C, removed an enormous gas stove from the basement and have always been very professional, knowledgeable and friendly.

Jason, the plumbing tech, arrived right on schedule with his only knowledge of the project a second-hand description of the work needed through a supervisor from Freier's Comfort by Design. He went right after the water line installation, since he had everything he needed on hand for that portion of the job and had that part of the installation, including the sewer venting and first level sewer line installation, finished before noon.

He needed more parts to finish the sewer line connection to the main sewer pipe. We agreed to have him finish the project the next day, Tuesday. After a delay caused by an emergency water line, Jason arrived with the necessary parts and finished the job quickly and professionally. He double-checked everything and left us with a huge improvement in our home's efficiency.

I am a DIY sort of person and I don't usually hire people to do work I can do just as well. In Freier's Comfort by Design's case, there is no way I could do the work better for much less money. Both of the techs Freier's Comfort by Design have sent to our home have been quick, efficient, professional, and incredibly respectful of our home.

I needed a replacement panel for my fireplace. I chose Comfort By Design because Fireside Hearth and Home, where I'd originally ordered the part, was very short on customer service. When the part arrived, I wasn't able to install it myself, but Comfort by Design was able to send out a technician to do it. There was a travel fee and hourly charge, but the price was fair.

The technician was competent and friendly and cleaned up after himself. I knocked off one star because they kind of messed up with my invoice, twice. No malice involved, I'm sure, and they were cheerful about fixing it.
