Mohrmann Electric

I would like to start by saying this company is the real deal. From the onset of my project, a generator installation, everyone with whom I dealt with were kind, courteous, upfront, and most of all very professional. Starting with Mr. Fred, Mr. Dennis, Mr. Johnathon, Mr. Juan, Mr. Joe the plumber and especially, ALL of the office personnel. They kept me updated on how things were progressing every step of the way. Was it completely smooth? No, but pretty damn close to it.

When something happened that needed addressing, and there was only one bump in the road, it was addressed within less than 24 hours. Living in the world of today with all of the obstacles that we ALL have been dealing with, I would say that not only was it surprising but moreover it was extremely impressive and I would gladly recommend them. If I could I would give them even a higher rating I certainly would.

They deserve it. That being said, you know what, this is my review and I can do whatever I want so on a scale of 1-5, 5 being the best, I give them a 9.9 out of 5. I would have given them a 10 but nothing in life is perfect and I want everyone who reads this to know that out of all the different contractors I have dealt with over 60 yrs., these guys are tops. Thanks.

Stay away from this company. We been using this company to service our generator and it was not the best experience. They promise great support and same day support, but its never the case. They only work around their schedule. We had outages many times and they never came when it was needed. It was always after when the outage was fixed. My most recent experience was too much to hamdle.

Our generator for some reason was not turning on, I called them to come take a look, after a few weeks, they finally came. They never called me to let me know what they did. After many calls I and no return calls, I received an estimate to replace the entire controller and relay and replace the battery too. They wanted to charge me over $2570.85. Luckily I called another company to check.

The other company had the generator up and running in no time. They said we did not need a new controller or new relay. Of course I was upset and I emailed the previous company to stay away and to cancel my contract. Who knows how many other hard working families they did this too, I will be reporting them to local authorities and towns. Pissed off customer. Stay away.

Gladly waited two or three weeks for a service appointment, for which I was referred for by a friend. They knew what I had, even sent pictures. Stayed home day of and the guy promptly showed up to start the service. I had to run inside for 5 minutes during which time the guy left with no announcement, not even a knock on my door. I called the office and they said they didn't want to take on my generator with no explanation, very quick "sorry bye".

I asked why didn't they give some sort of alternative recommendation, etc, but no reply, nothing. Bizarre. Would love the courtesy of a phone call and clear recommendations since I need to get my system going and on going with regular maintenance. ** Update to response from owner. I never said the unit was new. Can't believe you would make that up out of thin air.

I clearly said it was 10 years old. The tech on site asked if I had a permit/variance, and I confirmed I did and it was approved with the construction of the house. Nothing was mentioned about upgrading the gas. Scary that this wasn't mentioned. If there were concerns I should have been told directly of any concerns. The technician (Owner) was there for a total of 11 minutes, I have the entire thing recorded.

You did not call me. I had to call multiple times and I got a bogus explanation of "we don't want to take on the generator". Your response confirms the way you do business. Why not just be honest rather than make things up? You should have asked the right questions ahead of time, but instead left me hanging. I could have gotten another company instead of wasting all that time.

Very bad customer service and way to treat a customer. Sad that we have to have this conversation on google, instead of the technician/owner calling me at the end of the day to talk to me honestly and advise me with how to proceed.

This outfit serviced my generator for a number of years (since it was new) and I have not been impressed. I find their communication very poor, their phone system does not even have the capacity to take messages after a storm event (insufficient volume). I don''t fault them for not having the surge capacity to service all their clients after a storm, but I do have concerns about their expertise and practices based upon a few of my interactions. The last experience forced me to go elsewhere. These things are expensive. Go with the best outfit you can find. I don't recommend these guys!

I would highly recommend Fred for a Generac standby generator. He was competitively priced and his crew did a great installation job. Whenever I have a question, Fred or Laura respond promptly. Chris their service technician is a pleasure to work with. I got estimates from a number of firms and I am very happy we went with Fred. Thanks Jay W.

Installation of a turn key 14 Kilowatt standby back up generator. Including filing of permits and permit fees, a two foot elevated masonry platform, 14 Kw generator, automatic transfer switch, all wiring, plumbing for the gas line, gas meter upgrade, 5 year warranty, Gen Link, one year of maintenance. I met with Fred Mohrmann, the President of Mohrmann Electric Company in May 2014. Fred proposed a 14 Kw system, and bid a very competitive price.

By the middle of June 2014 Dennis two additional electricians delivered the unit and begun the installation. In addition to the generator installation Dennis replaced my outdoor light with a customer supplied light with motion detection. At the end of the day the crew did proper clean up. After the generation was installed the contractor had a plumber from JLM Plumbing & Heating install a gas line to the generator, and add a meter upgrade.

This too went very well. On July 3 the installer returned to activate my generator. All went well. Twice a year a technician from Mohrmann Electric performs an inspection and maintenance onsite. The service people are highly qualified and take the time to do the job correctly.

I can't say enough great things about Mohrmann Electric! It started when Fred came to give me an estimate for a generator. He was so thorough, professional and considerate. I felt very confident after he left my house. Everyone that I dealt with could not be nicer or more helpful...Judy and Laura in the office who really walked me through the whole process and kept me up to date, Juan who did all the electrical work, and Dennis and Brandon who set up the generator and came to do the start up.

I wasn't home when other work was being done so I can't mention their names. My home was always left in perfect condition. Since I needed a gas meter upgrade the new meter is much larger and no longer fit behind the sliding doors I have in my finished basement but Fred told me not to worry because they would take care of. Fred was right because Dennis and Brandon rebuilt the closet beautifully! (Sorry again about the sandwich Dennis!!) I'll always use Mohrmann Electric from now on for anything electrical. I just love hearing my generator do the weekly checkup every Sunday! Thank you Thank you Mohrmann Electric!!

After Sandy, I never wanted to worry about losing power again. Mohrmann came out and suggested a great generator. It is hooked up to my natural gas line and was installed on a raised pad so it should never get wet in a flood. They come out once a year to service the generator too. I couldn't be happier with the service I get and how well the generator works as well. Highly recommended!

Really wowed by my generator technician who took care of all my concerns. Install went perfect and my service contract keeps me from worrying about power failure

First of all let me start by saying that this is the worst most unprofessional company, you could ever deal with, if there was someway I could have given them zero stars I would have, they only want to sell you service, I have been using them for regular maintenance on my standby generator for years, I received a letter from them stating that they wanted to provide us with a regular maintenance service which I allowed them to do, today we had a horrible storm I tried calling them for two hours , it went straight to voice mail, finally someone picks up I tell her my generator that just had been serviced and was working fine is now not working, She tells me that she has no idea when someone will be able to come for service, not for at least 2-3 days, when I start to talk this very nasty lady has the audacity to hang up on me, I am so outraged by this I go down to their office to see if I could speak to someone perhaps the owner, I am treated with the same disrespect, The owner was there, a much much older man who did not at all seem to care one bit about the way I was treated, this company is run by one old man and two nasty old ladies, if you are looking to get any type of service I would stay away from this company, I don't usually write yelp reviews, but I really wish I myself would have been warned before I started doing business with this company. It's nice to know when you deal with a company and you need them they'll be there for you, sadly to say this is not the case with this company.

So the company it's self is great, but if you are applying to work here! Make sure you are willing to work with Denis he needs Daddy's Milk, which is the owners son, He is a headache to work with everything seems to be a problem, Any issue and daddy's on speed dial! Denis and Fred are some moody people they are alike, Say one thing but do another, the pay is good but I wouldn't recommend this place if you don't want to work with a bitch ass grown man, who thinks is alway perfect!

They installed a generac while back, Denis treats his guys like trash, he only looks out for him self-Dave F If you are getting Maintenance buy your own oil filter + air filter with oil 5w-30 synthetic on Amazon, it's Way cheaper then what they charge you!

Wonderful family owned and operated business. They have done several jobs for me (electric to my garage, installed and grounded the electric for my pool)! Fred, Dennis, Meg and Laura are excellent!

Mohrmann Electric installed generators for two of my friends and they both had only great things to say about them. I'm happy that I took their advice and used them to install my generator. Fred and the entire organization were most professional, knowledgeable and easy to work with. I'm in the real estate and construction business, which puts me in contact with many construction subcontractors, and I have never had a better experience with a trade professional.

From start to finish they handled everything from the original permit application to the final sign-off. I would highly recommend them to anyone interested in purchasing and installing a standby generator.

They could not have been easier to work with and fairly priced! They did all the permits and everything for our generator, and were super professional walked us through the whole process, made sure they called to let us know each step when we needed someone home worked with our schedule. Our generator is fantastic! They did an amazing job right within budget I highly recommend them!
