Ellsworth Electric traces its roots to 1927-long before electricity was a household word. The company began as the Miller-Liskey Electric Company, Inc. and provided electrical contractor services for large commercial construction projects in Hagerstown. In the 1960's the company added a service division and insulation services.

They came out to move some outlets. I asked for an estimate and the electrician said the office would figure it out. I got the bill for 1,200! They did a fine job but the price was ridiculous. I'll never use them again. Service: Electrical outlet & switch relocation

Critical: Responsiveness, Value Made an appointment to install a thermostat between 1 & 5 p m. Never showed, never called & yet I called them to make another appointment. 2nd appointment (1-5 pm) I waited & waited. At 7:00 pm the guy calls to see if we still want service. Hopefully, he'll work better than their useless schedulers. Service: Electrical outlet & switch installation

I am not a customer but an employee of theirs in one of their vans flipped me the middle finger after I went to pass him on the interstate once he finally turned into the right lane. I was not tail gating him, the closest I got to him was about a car length and a half behind him when he slowed down to go 65 in the left lane when the speed limit is 70. Would not recommend anyone who hires people that show this kind of behavior.

The quality of the light switches that where used in my house where of POOR quality. In 14 years I've replaced over 85% of them. As for their personal I think they had a unprofessional attitude due to the fact we ask them not to smoke in the house.

The staff at Ellsworth are all very professional and extremely knowledgeable. John and Teresa Barr have been wonderful philathropists to the communtiy and have served on many non-profit leadership roles.
