Anthony and Carmella Greco, along with their two sons Robert and Anthony Jr, opened ACRA Electric, Inc. in 1975. Originally from Long Island, New York, the Grecos moved to Cape Coral in 1973. Starting by working out of their home and wiring houses in the local community, the company grew fast, and in 1976, they established a business location in downtown Cape Coral where they still maintain their office. After 20 successful years, Anthony Sr. and Carmella retired, leaving Robert and Anthony in charge.

ACRA's Service Department is a group of true problem-solvers. They have the amazing opportunity to go out and help the community in their homes and offices. When something electrical goes wrong, the service team steps in to take care of problems. Some of the specialties the service division works with every week are: panel repairs and replacements, service upgrades, lighting maintenance and efficiency, lightning and surge suppression, remodels and additions, generator hookups, and electric car outlets.
ACRA's Residential Department has been wiring homes in Southwest Florida since their inception in 1975. As the company's very first department, they have grown immensely throughout the years as the homes of today have grown more complex. ACRA's Commercial Department works closely with contractors from start to finish of a project.

From the start of the homebuilding process, the Residential estimator reviews plans for code compliance and provides recommendations for cost savings or efficiency. Once the project is in progress, the Residential electricians take those plans and make them a reality.

From value engineering the base plans to provide more function for your money to getting the last light turned on, we go above and beyond to provide practical, real-life solutions. Our team is led by a LEED accredited individual and offers energy efficient ideas to keep your spaces comfortable and safe. Our team has experience providing electrical contracting in all building uses, from simple shell buildings to ACHA medical buildings.

I was able to speak to someone and arrange for an estimate with my very first call! I called 2 other electrical marine contractors and I am still waiting for their call. My family and I have used Acra for over 20 years here in Lee County. Acra installed the original dock wiring for my parents' house in the Carolands on Bonita Beach in 2001. My parents used them several times during the years after that. I needed a new sub panel to feed our new dock & lift in 2020 installed at my house (built in 1977) and had Acra come out to install it.
They installed a new breaker and ran 6/3 wiring from the main panel in the garage across the house through the attic and to the new panel on the back of the house. They wired a new junction box by the dock, wired the new elevator lift, a disconnect for the lift and an outlet by the lift. They did an excellent job and the pricing was very fair. Almost two years later and I have not had a single issue. I looked over the work they did and it was top notch. I would not hesitate to recommend them for any electric work you may need.

Highly recommend! Jeremy was my technician and he was on time, very professional and friendly. I was impressed with his respect for my home. I have had other work done and been left with banged up walls and dirty floors. They were extremely clean and got right to it and got the job done. I only made this appointment for a small amount of the work I wanted done because of a bad experience with the last 2 contractors I have hired. I will DEFINITELY be having the rest of my work done with ACRA electric!

If you want professional, excellent service, then Acra Electric is the best. Jay and his people have helped us on several projects. The work was always great but my favorite project was his outdoor lighting design and implementation. Perfect. So many people have knocked on our doors to complement us on it. Called Acra to wire a new boat lift after using them several times in the past at our condo association. Pricing very fair and work done promptly and very high quality. They even came back out to wire an outlet in a box that was installed without an outlet - and did not charge to complete this work! Jenn at the office is great to work with and I highly recommend Acra.

I called during the hurricane recovery because my well shorted out and I had no water. They said there were lots of people who had zero electric, but if they could squeeze me in they'd call. They called a few hours later, showed up and fixed my GFI. I had installed a defective GFI for a burned out one. I should have figured that out, but I didn't. Anyway, they are up and at 'em as far as I am concerned. I will keep calling them when I need electric help.

Dan came to my house and went over everything needed for my property to do electrical, and said he would call me in 10 days ( 1 week from Monday) and fit me in. So I waited 10 days, and never heard back. So I called on Wednesday. Never got back. So I went to the office next door to eating breakfast on Thurs and told his secretary. What happens then.
Well Dan calls me and says he cant get back to me for at least another 2 weeks he is too busy, and worse yet couldn't even still give me a time. How would you like to purchase a rental property, and not get done in time for rent next month! Well this is me! So its obvious HE LIED TO ME, HELD ME UP, WASTED MY TIME, BLEW ME OFF, WHAT A JERK. Cost me a lot of wated time and money lost for no rent. So I will just say I can't help myself from saying "the hell with this place, and I am really pissed off!."
