Never in my life have I ever had to deal with the most uncommunicative company in my life. We have been in business for 30 years and never would we ever treat our customers or clients this bad. If we never returned a customer's phone call I am sure we would have heard some how about it. Well VOLO BROADBAND out of Urbana is the most sickening internet that I have ever dealt with.
The OWNER/CEO does not care about his customers. He will not return a email from Nov 1st about my router. So I called multiple times today about when the ETA is on my 10 am apt for no internet that we lost at 130-2 pm yesterday. And Jeff told me they left the office in URBANA at 935 am and everything coming out of everyone's mouth was a lie so of course I tell them I want to talk to OWNER OR CORPORATE and they tell me it's Peter and I have told them he's not owner I want to speak to someone else. We'll long story short they wanted me to speak to Peter is OWNER/ CEO. Omg so the guys show up at 11:55.
Guess what I hung up waiting for Peter to get on the phone and it is 1:18pm and he still hasn't called me back to ask what has happened and could care less about us. There's sooo much more but I can't even type that much. But I was told if I put it on social media and Yelp he will respond real quick so we will see. What he does for me for putting up with no communication and lies for the last year.
I am just tired of the treatment and would rather go back to Hughes net that treated us with respect. Rant over lol. I will repost if I hear back from the worthless Peter at Volo fiber optic internet

We live in South Mahomet and just switched to Volo Fiber and woah what a difference! We were with another Fiber provider before but, working from home was impossible because my video chats always froze. This week was a dream, all my meetings were clear and I have Volo to thank! Not usually a big reviewer, just had to share this. If you are in Mahomet, get Volo!

We are VERY happy with Volo. For years, we dealt with issues and lack of wifi coverage in our home from the competition. We were elated when Volo finally made it to our neighborhood! So far, we have not had an issue with streaming and have been pleased with every staff member we have spoken with at Volo.

I don't typically provide many reviews, only when I feel it's been earned.and Volo has earned it! After 1 year there has been almost no down time.up time has been 99.999% (from my perspective). Rock solid service! Thanks to Volo for improving our lives. I can now work reliably from home when necessary, and enjoy internet related amenities others take for granted. I was able to negotiate a new rate with Directv (since there are now internet competitors). The savings pays most of my monthly Volo invoice. A win-win situation!

We have had solid dependable internet service from Volo. There have been some outages, but they have been responsive when called and the downtime has been minimal. The quality of my internet service has been great from Volo and I appreciate their service. For the price and quality, I am very satisfied. Thank you!

Installation has been taking over 3 months and is still not completed. Not only do I have to keep calling every two weeks to get an update (and they never know what's going on), but they show up unexpectedly without scheduling an appointment. Its inconvenient to the point where I would rather keep paying way higher prices with Xfinity.

It's been 2 months since we have been without internet with Volo, which is UNACCEPTABLE. Blew us off multiple times for the set up. The internet barley worked after the set up and now doesn't work at all. Oh and get this, they didn't even have us in their billing! Didn't even know who we were! I mean good lord we have their satellite dish on our roof and they don't even have us saved in their records. Unprofessional.
We have had techs come out 3 times now and they don't even know what they're doing. Unreliable. I myself have to call to get an update and the reps on the phone know nothing either. Says someone will call back but never do. Last time I spoke to them was a WEEK AGO and no one has reached out AT ALL. Horrible service all around and Wasting our time!
I have been MORE than understanding and patient. If Volo thought that we aren't going to get a good connection then tell us that and let us move on to a company that can help us! Like I said it's been months without internet now!

I have been trying to set up service with Volo for two weeks now. When I call to check in I am told that someone will be out "tomorrow" to work on it OR that they will call me back. These are both lies. I have called them almost daily for a week now. I am sometimes on hold for up to an hour just to get in contact with a customer service representative.
When I ask for details such as "how much longer will this take?" or "what work is being done?" I am told that I have to talk to a technician about that. They ALWAYS say that they will call me back. The number of times I have received a callback? One. A 30 second phone call with Peter, in which he said that they would have to send someone out "tomorrow" to work on my connection.
This was a lie. They did not send someone out until this past Saturday and yet it is still not fixed. I am not an unfair or unreasonable person. I understand that they have other customers and other priorities, and that I am not the most important person that they have to talk. HOWEVER, I also expect them to communicate issues to me. They do not do this.
I expect them to call me back when they say that they will. They do not do this either. If there is one thing that I hate more than anything, it is being lied to. This, above all else, is the one thing that they are very good at. They will say anything to get you off the phone which means that they will tell you any lie it takes to make you go away.

I had issues for over a year. They lied constantly and only delivered working service when reported to the FCC. When reading their report back i found that they openly lied and twisted information. I'm forced to have their service at my apartment complex and that will be the exact reason i don't re-up my lease. If you have to do business with these liars make sure you document everything; packet loss, slow service, and every minute it isn't working. I will be documenting everything from now on. They can't be trusted as people or as a business.

Very reliable internet! Moved into a building with Volo in September and I have been very impressed with the speed and consistency. I had one small issue early on and I called the service number and it was very quickly resolved. I was very impressed with the service compared to larger companies I have dealt with in the past while trying to resolve issues.

After having recurring issues with a former internet provider, I made the move to Volo. I've only been using their internet for about 3 months but I'm much happier with their prices and service than I was with my last provider. Instead of waiting around for 4 hours for them to come and install everything, only to have them not show up, they gave me an hour time frame and actually arrived when they were supposed to! I should say that you might want to upgrade your router, it made a huge difference for me.

I get this service for free with my rent so I guess I shouldn't expect much from it but I can't stand it. I have had issues with it the whole time I have used it. Almost every night around 10 it stops working. I'm assuming it can't handle the amount of people using it at one time. It is very frustrating. Even when it is working it is very slow. if you want to watch something on Netflix or any other service, don't bother trying to do much of anything else online simultaneously. It just won't work out well for you.

I really want to like Volo. I get their service 'free' with my rent (which just means I pay for it without the option to opt out). I've had some inconsistent internet, and the first time I called them about it, they were great. But now, my internet has gone down, without any connection for more than an hour three times in the last week.
If that weren't enough, when I call their 24/7 support line, I had to wait 35 min on hold. That is annoying, but if it meant they would deal with my problem, it would be worth it. But no, when I was finally taken off of hold? It was an Answering machine, asking me to leave a message. I'm studying for exams right now, and I have material that can only be accessed online.
The buses are done for the night and this is screwing me over. I'll update if they ever call me back. But for now I would highly recommend keeping away from this company.

Small businesses often compete by giving good service. Not this business. Shoddy product is only exceeded by their not even pretending to be interested. Accessibility to the Internet is intermittent via this network. Repeated calls for trouble shooting finally yielded the advice that none of it was their problem. Don't trouble them with your business.
