I was recommended Mick's by my realtor and I called them up and scheduled a small amount of work on my house. I scheduled for 3/23/22 at 8am and I asked the person on the phone if this was just an estimate or if they would do work as well. He told me that it was an estimate AND work. I made sure to be very clear that we both understood this. Two days before my appt i get a call from an estimator asking if he could stop by a day early and get the estimate figured out and i said yes.
They show up the night before my work was scheduled and I walked them through what I wanted done. The next day no one shows up for work. I call Mick's at 930 saying no one has shown up at my place. He says that he doesnt see me scheduled. I told him that I was for sure scheduled, I had it marked on my calendar and that two guys came and did the estimate the night before.
He tells me that they canceled my appt 4/23 because the estimator came the night before and they would reschedule work. I told him no that doesnt work for me you told me on the phone that I had an estimate AND work scheduled for 4/23 and that it was very important that I have it done that day because I had it off work and Im getting my house ready to rent.
He tells me that hes going to try to find someone to send to my house. that afternoon after no one shows up I call again and get a woman on the phone, she tells me the same thing that they are looking for someone to send to me. I never hear from the company again, no calls, no reschedules, no estimate, nothing. I ended up using a different electric company and got much better results.

My wife and I did a major remodel to your house. Mick's Electric was terrific to work with and they were our only contractor in the project that showed up on time every time they were supposed to be there. We did major lighting changes, adding lights, moving lights, moving switches, adding new panels, and they helped us through the whole process. I never knew you could make so many changes to lighting locations and adding lights and outlets. We love how our project turned out and our lighting in our house is so improved and really highlights our house. I would recommend Micks to anyone.

These guys are total pros. They came over to replace an outlet for a heavy-duty peanut butter machine I have. They were in and out in 20 minutes. I was really happy with the outcome. They were friendly, had the part, and the price was a little high but not much. I received a reminder phone call and they even showed a little early. I'd highly recommend them for anyone looking for a residential electrician. Great work.

These Guys are by far the most professional and efficient electricians. I have had them do several jobs over the years from fixing switches and outlets to removing my old fuse panel and installing a breaker panel and every time has been a great experience. The best part is they always call and let me know when they're on their way and show up on the day they say!

I feel like I got scammed by a couple of Mick's workers, and worst yet, I think he did too. Back story is we called them for a list of about 7 things we wanted looked at (flickering lights, installing new switches, etc.). When they arrived we gave them this list. They fixed a couple things on the spot, quoted us for the parts for the rest (~200 a piece, plus labor), and left right away to get them.
They got back and said original quote was too low, and gave us a new one. The new quote they gave us was $675, with each of the two parts being ~$240 (so this includes labor obviously). Fine, that sounds somewhat reasonable. They did not give us a written quote. They did everything on the list that they could, said theyd send us the bill and left.
Bill comes and its $822 (almost 150 more than the quote!). So I call and the worker claims he quoted us $750 (a lie, my wife texted me the amount the second he gave it to her asking if it was okay). I asked why it was still 822 then, and he says my wife added more stuff after they came back with the parts (another lie, we gave them the full list of everything we wanted done and he couldnt even specify what it was, even though the rest of his memory seemed perfect.).
I talk to the manager, Mick, who ends up acting as a middle man of playing "he said, she said" so he ends up making my final bill $750. I think he did what he could, honestly, and I didnt feel like fighting more so I accepted. I even feel bad giving 1 star because I think Mick really cares about his company. but I think we both got scammed, Mick and Me, because this worker, without a doubt in my mind, quoted us at $675, raised it by $75, then lied about additional work and raised it another 75.
Since they didnt give us a paper copy of the quote, as the manager says they are trained to do, it ends up being our word against theirs. But guess what, at least I have that text as proof. Why would my wife lie to me?! it was me who wanted all this work done in the first place. And I am wondering if he gets paid based on how much labor he charges, because anything above the price of the parts, which he obviously cant change is going to be labor.
The final bill had $312 worth of labor for about 30-45 minutes of work (even if it took them an hour, thats over $300/hour for labor, which is way above any average i've seen online, and this was a VERY simple job). So I'm not sure who to blame but it has definitely left me with a sour taste in my mouth for this company. I hope Mick looks into their work habits a little more.
I am sure i am not the only one. and as for their work. it was done correctly, although all they had to do was unscrew some things and install a wireless light switch, so not that hard, but they left drywall dust all over my floor and counter.

The employees are great. Owner/Manager not so much. I had an central air conditioner go down. The tech said it was warrant. Without even sending an invoice I got a call from the owner threating to take me to court if I didn't pay the bill. I paid it under protest. Before a year the part went bad. The New electric tech said the wrong part was put in and it wasn't heavy enough to handle the load.
Since then I have installed a fireplace which I had electrical run to where the unit was to be placed. I didn't find out till I wired the fireplace that the wire they run was hot without even being taped up or wire nuts installed. Could have been a disaster if one of my grandchrildren or pets would have put it in their mouth. No I would not recommend Mick's Electric.
