I've worked with this company in the past on several projects and was always quite happy with the work performed. This has changed quite a bit recently. The last couple of times I've worked with them their office staff is rude/unprofessional. They also have major scheduling issues. They scheduled me for two days of work and on both days just never showed up and didn't bother to call and tell me they were not coming.
When they finally did come the workers arrived around noon, worked for 2 hours and left. Office later called to schedule the completion of the work which would be another 3 week wait. I would advise you look at a different company for electrical work.

Called in July to make an appointment for them hardwire my shed. I scheduled for a month later in August because they claim they didn't have a single opening. They no called and no showed. When I called to ask why they didn't bother to make good with the appointment the woman told me that she would find out and get back to me. She never did. I had to call back again.
Then they proceeded to tell me they had no record of the appointment. And that they never would have made an appointment with me for 2 pm. Basically called me a liar and said I had never made an appointment with him. When I told him I wanted to speak to the manager the woman hung up on me two different time refusing to speak with me or let me speak to her manager

Please do not use this company. They are not friendly or willing to communicate. They don't care about customer service. The owner refused to discuss my issue with me. On my rental property, we had issues with outlets. My renter said they checked the breaker panel and nothing was tripped. Being that anything else is above my knowledge base, I called Fielder Electric to come out to help trouble shoot, come to find out it was indeed just a tripped breaker.
They spent all of 3 minutes in my house to simply flip a switch and charged me $85 to come out there (which is fine and fair to cover the trip), but they refused to have a discussion about reducing the additional $85 full hour service charge, which totaled $170 all in, for them to flip a switch. I feel like I got robbed. There was no sympathy on the situation and basically got fully paid to do basically no work.
They didn't care if they were there for only 1 minute and did no work at all. I was told "it is what it is, " by the secretary and I was told the owner refused to speak or allow me to email with him. I would go with any other electrician that is willing to communicate and work with their customers and at least be heard.

We had two light fixtures installed beside a vanity mirror the and they were supposed to be 9 " from the wall and they installed them only 8" so the spacing just looks off from what we wanted. We caught the mistake before he finished installing but the holes were already cut so we got a "oops.too late now." They also over charged us for fixing receptacles that were not on the original quote.
Originally they planned to run new wires to the sub panel. But all that was needed was a receptacle to be replaced. The electrician said our bill would be adjusted due to there being much less work completed. Only they did not want to adjust our bill. Their secretary was very rude to us when I called to straighten this out. Would not ever use these guys again. Do not recommend.

I had a very positive experience with Fielder. Matt was very professional and courteous. The electricians did a very professional job, were polite and cleaned up after themselves. All for a very reasonable price. Also thanks to Paige and Erica for helping with the proposal. I would definitely hire Fielder again.

We had terrible experiences with this company and terrible customer service from the owner. They left a hole in an exterior wall that we had to ask repeatedly to be repaired. We we're told the hole in our ceiling wasn't their responsibility. They ended up trying to charge us $1000 extra because the trenching performed was difficult even after they only performed half the trenching from the bid.
They didn't call for all the inflections required so I had to deal with that on my own. When they did have comments on permits it was to question other contractors that they didn't seem to like because 'we've never worked that company'. They wouldn't return the calls pig our other contractors either. The worst was dealing with the owner. I couldn't get him to return my calls and left multiple messages.
He claimed never to have gotten them, but the office workers told me they did give them to him every time. When I did finally get him on the phone and tried to explain the issues, he quickly jumped to insults. Fielder claimed to have a great phone system but also had posted online that they were having trouble with their phones. Stay away for your own sake.

DO NOT USE FIELDER. Electrician was extremely rude. Proceeded to severely damaged bathroom ceiling when installing a fan. Note, no cutting was needed. He just needed to slide it into place. When he finished the work he ran downstairs and left really fast before we had a chance to see the work. I called and talked to their office to tell them about the damage and they said that they would get back with me. They never called back even after I left several messages. I have now had to hire another contractor to repair the Damage.

Fielder Electric has been our electrician of choice for many years. We have used Fielder to rewire an entire home, to install upgrades, to fix issues.you name it! During a recent major storm, the President of the company took it upon himself to come to our home (free of charge!) and inspect some downed wires before we involved Ameren. Every technician with whom we have worked has been professional and thorough.
We own five homes in St. Louis and work closely with all of our favorite vendors. Recently, we had a strange experience with Fielder that was out of the norm and has caused us to step away from the company. After two technicians visited one of our homes to install a couple of outlets, we engaged in a series of negative interactions with a member of their office staff.
We had questions about our bill and were trying to rectify the situation, as there is a small discrepancy between the amount of time we are being charged for the work and the amount of time the technicians were in our home. Fielder has been unwilling to consider our side of the story and has engaged in negative communication patterns with us. We moved the phone conversation to email because the tone on the phone was negative and we were interrupted several times.
We tried to salvage our relationship with Fielder, we tried to come to common ground, and we tried figure things out with them. Fielder was unwilling to consider our perspective. We paid our bill and promised to look elsewhere for all future electrical work. This truly breaks our hearts, but when you work with a company, every level of interaction is important.
The technicians, the office staff, the president. Everyone. We wish Fielder the best and we hope they reflect on this and are able to adjust their communication practices in the future.

I've been working with Fielder Electric for nearly 3 decades. They are the only company I prefer to work with when it comes to needing electrical services. Their pricing is competitive and reasonable. Everyone at Fielder Electric (the owners, office and crew employees) are extremely courteous, knowledgeable and punctual. As a General Contractor, the Fielder Electric crew has come to know what I expect of them when they arrive on my job-site, which makes managing all of my scheduling run smoothly and in a timely fashion. I highly recommend this family owned and operated company for any project - large or small - that requires a licensed, bonded and trustworthy electrician.
