I have have G &S Electric service for four or five home projects. Each times very happy on the out come of the job that was done. I'm so glad to find a trustful company that can come to my rescue.

Critical: Responsiveness, Value I had one new outlet installed and one moved and the ballast in one lite fixture. should have been about a four hour job charged for 10 hours. Was charged for 750' of wire to go 20' ($1500.00). I will never use this company again Services: Electrical outlet & switch relocation, Electrical outlet & switch installation, Light fixture repair

If I could give zero stars I would - we called and asked for a quote to install a chandelier. Robert mentioned they needed more information to provide us with a quote, and despite my Wife providing them with the ceiling height, chandelier dimensions, and circuitry requirements From the manual, he suggested someone could "stop by" and gather "more information" for a detailed quote. Tech showed up and was very professional, although all he did was re-measure the ceiling height, look at the chandelier installation instructions, and look at our fuse box for the brand.

All information was exactly what we had told them. When getting ready tot leave after 25 min, he indicated he needed to collect payment. I asked "for what?" and the tech exasperated "of course Robert didn't tell you about the fee, he always put me in this position." I called him, Robert then said he was glad I could find another electrician, and hung up on me. 2 weeks Later, I get a bill for 1 hour of a technician's time and a "trip charge" for $160?!?!

And I never Got a quote! I'm currently trying to work with G&S to resolve this so hopefully can post A positive update but beware of this company - they want $ to provide you with a quote for their work, and will then passive aggressively send you a bill with some pretty salty comments on the bill itself. Fingers crossed I can resolve this with them directly before having to take any next steps. 0 STARS! BEWARE OF G&S. ANY OTHER ELECTRICIAN WOULD BE BETTER FOR YOUR JOB

I called them to do work and explained what we wanted. They said they could do the work and would bring the materials. On the day of the work I was called by the person performing the work and I was told they didn't have the materials, because the office didn't tell them what needed to be done. They have to call the office and find out they needed.

Then the office called me and said "they had emergencies" and had to cancel at the last minute. I think the installer didn't feel like doing the job which is fine, but that would have been nice if they indicated that in first conversation after waiting three weeks and making a special trip from out of town (I explained this when I set the appointment.).
