Nusbaum Electric has been servicing homes and businesses in the greater Londonderry/Derry area for over 21 years. Owner Ted Nusbaum has over 26 years of experience in the electrical business. Nusbaum Electric has experienced a steady growth rate over the years, from a home-based company with one service truck, to today with a new office location and five service trucks.

We hired Nusbaum for the electrical for our home renovation in Londonderry NH this past summer. To begin with, Ted came promptly and was very quick to get back to us with a quote. His pricing was on par for the other quotes we received and we felt good about his response times and his recommendations from our contractor so we went ahead and hired him to do the work.

The work included a complete wiring of our basement which was going to be finished out with a living room, office, bathroom and bedroom as well as some lighting upstairs, ceiling fans and a bathroom outlet moved. They always showed up when they said they would and were very prompt with returning phone calls. So for this, we were grateful and felt it was a good sign of things to come, but we were very wrong.

The first part of the project with Ted and his crew was the upstairs lighting and ceiling fans. We provided the fans, Discussed lighting placements and left for the weekend. When we returned all fans were installed but we were shocked to discover that Ted would be expecting an additional 1000 dollars because he did not include the fans in our quote.

We did not realize this was not included because we had discussed it during our walkthrough. This was an oversight, but our frustration was that He never discussed this added cost with us before we left or called us to confirm any added cost, he instead did the work and sent us the bill. We now had no choice but to pay up because the work was already done.

We were frustrated but understood that this may have just been a costly oversight on our part and continued forward with the rest of the work. By the time they came back to do work In the kitchen for recessed lighting, the renovation of our brand new kitchen was nearly complete and everything in the kitchen was brand new. His crew absolutely trashed our new kitchen.

They also took it upon themselves to Install (and charge me for) the vent hood that we had zero plans for them to install. My contractor was already paid to install this so I paid twice for this install and again they never ASKED me if we wanted it installed. All we needed from them was the outlet but they went beyond the scope and again spent our money without asking if this was authorized.

During the install of the vent hood they cut a hole in our wall to vent it outside (we had no intention of doing this and purchased a hood that was optional for exterior ventilation) while installing they NEVER put down a drop cloth. In fact I don't know if I ever saw them out a cloth down once during our renovation. They put deep scratches in my brand new glass stove top and filled the entire back vent of my oven with debris.

While installing the lighting and outlets they covered every single inch of the kitchen in dust and debris. They didn't even ask us to move appliances from inside our island when they installed the island outlets which we would have gladly done. They destroyed a few of my my small appliances because of this and it took me three hours to deep clean my kitchen after they left.

My Oven still has debris that j cannot reach because j cannot take it apart to clean it out. They continually failed to show common courtesy and basic respect our brand new home that we spent 100k + finishing out and it was incredibly frustrating. We bit our tongue, cleaned up their mess continually and prayed it would all be over soon. They had no problems helping themselves to the lunch we bought them every time they worked but couldn't be bothered to cover up our appliances or ask us to move things so they could work.

When they finished out the basement. We couldn't even plug a tv in without it tripping the breakers. They blamed the new style of breakers and told us to wait until the inspection was done so they could put the old ones back in. I still can't use my hair dryer without tripping g the breakers in the bathroom, but nothing else downstairs trips too badly now that they've swapped the old ones out, but again not sure how legitimate of a solution that is.

We paid them in full even before the work was completely finished (I'll never do that again, lesson learned) but when they came back to move the bathroom outlet we had asked them to add a hallway light and move a tv outlet higher on the wall because apparently we don't like to learn from our mistakes our listen to our intuition, we just wanted it all completed so we could move on with our lives. Fair prices for fair work. They were a bit hard to get a hold of. They ended up using multiple people to finish the day early. The used my new materials and the price was still higher than expected. I don't have much else to say but, "ehh"

Never again. Be advised they are not a Generac approved service provider. Since they installed my Generac generator, I called them for service. When I requested the service, I was not told that they are not a certified Generac agent and are limited to what they can do. Now I have to spend additional money to obtain the services of a certified Generac agent. Paying twice for a service call. Make sure that you go to a certified provider in the first place.

I have used Nusbaum Electric several times since the last major ice storm! They always respond immediately and provide great customer service, no matter what the call involves. My last experience was two weeks ago, They were here within 20 minutes of my call and the representative took time to explain my options as well as being personable in discussing the matter with me. I highly recommend Nusbaum Electric! They do the right things!

I am very happy with the work we had done at our home in Londonderry. I had my generator serviced and a motion light installed and a outdoor outlet installed on my front porch. The crew of Tyla and Tristan were amazing. They were very professional and helpful. Thank you Nasbaum Electric
