Hawkeye Electric

Had to come three times to do rework on a job that was done incorrectly. Damaged a piece of equipment due to incorrect wiring. They did cover the cost of the equipment repairs and didn't go over the quoted bill though.

So they said they would come out to see the project before the install day. Then they kept calling me to come out early almost hounding me because they had a small open window. The guy was installing a porch light and an outdoor outlet. The porch light is crooked. Then he had to leave to get an outlet. They tried to charge me for his 30 minute drive time because he failed to come prepared.

Then they installed this outlet sticking out really bad. He left it sitting on top of the trim even though there was a section that was cut out for it to sit in nicely. I try to push it in but the electrical box on the inside must be pushing it out. I guess ill try to glue it down. But this is just not professional.

Todd R the Residential Manger was not professional and had no intention of doing my residential electrical work after waiting over 10 weeks. I will not recommend this company to anyone. I'm sad that my parents recommended Hawkeye Electric as they did great work at their residence. Todd just blew it off like it was no big deal and Hawkeye Electric didn't need my business anyways. His communication during this process got him a zero star rating. I have several texts and emails to confirm his rating.

We installed a 24 KW generator on our HOA community well pump. Tom Otis, was a joy to work with. Very customer service oriented. I recommend Hawkeye Electric for your generator needs.

My company has worked with Hawkeye Electric for many years. Every person I have been in contact with at Hawkeye has been pleasant, responsive, on-time, and happy to answer questions. Specifically I have been working with Kirby and Mark on a building sign issue and they have gone above and beyond to make sure we have the information we need to proceed.

We needed an outdoor outlet installed on very short notice. Hawkeye Electric was able to squeeze us into their schedule during a very busy time of the year. The on-site electrician was on-time, listened to what we needed, inspected the current set-up and made several helpful suggestions. The quality of the work was fantastic, quickly completed and fairly priced. We had an overall great experience. We would definitively do business with them again.

Steve came to my rescue late Friday night and spent an hour setting up a temporary electric workaround so that I didn't have to go the whole weekend without power. He then got and installed a replacement WAY faster than expected. I have never been so impressed with any service. I will be using Hawkeye Electric for any and all of my electricity needs in the future.

Fast quality service. Called on a Monday morning for a GFCI outlet install with some conduit needed. Great communication from them. Had project done by late afternoon same day, in the rain no less. Would recommend and will use for any future projects!

I needed an overhead power supply reattached and called them for help. They sent Scott and he was awesome. He was personable and professional in every way. When he was done, everything was perfect and my problem was no longer a problem. Thank you Scott, and Hawkeye Electric!

Hawkeye helped me diagnose and resolve what seemed to be a complex issue to me, but they made short work of it. They are extremely easy and good to work with, and have fair prices. We had to call someone to evaluate the wiring in our house because of some concerns with our light fixtures. Hawkeye told us initially that it would be a week before they could get us scheduled but they ended up fitting us in the next day. We had Luke for our technician. He was outstanding, personable and did a great job putting us at ease. And I'd also like to point out that this is the kind of service call that a company with less scruples might take advantage and tell us that we needed to completely rewire the house. I wouldn't have known any better. Hawkeye was honest and did a great job for us.

I am very impressed with Hawkeye Electric! We needed a couple of small jobs completed around our house and had a hard time finding an Electrician that had time or would call me back. Hawkeye not only got me scheduled on the first call, but showed up on time and finished the job quickly. I will definitely use them again and refer them out whenever I can.
