The company was founded in 2007 with an initial focus on integrating solar energy systems. For the past 5 years the company has been focused on developing patented technology for the synthesis of 100% green ammonia and hydrogen. We create green ammonia via patented technology and a process that allows us to directly use renewable energy sources such as wind, solar and hydro.
Joe is one of the founders of Starfire Energy. He switched its emphasis from solar energy to ammonia fuel in 2016 and leads the business and technology development. He is currently Starfire Energy's Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of its Board of Directors. Joe was a co-founder of PrimeStar Solar, which was funded and purchased by GE.
Stephen H. Crolius is President and Co-Founder of Carbon-Neutral Consulting LLC. He is also Co-Director of the Vehicle-to-Grid EV School Bus Initiative and President Emeritus of the Ammonia Energy Association. Carbon-Neutral Consulting provides business strategy counsel to companies faced with opportunities and challenges related to the energy transition.
AP Ventures is headquartered in London and manages venture capital funds with a global mandate to invest in pioneering new technologies and businesses which aim to solve global challenges such as renewable energy integration, resource scarcity and a growing population. The existing portfolio is focused on the hydrogen value chain and includes investments in Altergy Systems, C-Zero, ERGOSUP, Greyrock Energy, HPNow, Hydrogen Refueling Solutions, HyET, Hydrogenious LOHC Technologies, Hystar, Infinium, Insplorion, Plug Power, and ZEG Power.
