Byrd Electric Service was started officially in 1986 by Tony Lee Byrd. Tony is a Georgia State Licensed Master electrician ( EN 000036) and has been licensed since 1972. Byrd Electric Service offers residential, commercial and industrial electrical service. In addition, offering generators, Directv, AT&T cell phone service, business voip phones and phone service and security cameras.
Byrd Electric is one of the most professional and polite companies I've ever worked with, out of hundreds. I say this because I was really treated as a valued customer because that's their business ethic, not because they are faking it. Two very kind gentlemen arrived to install a chandelier and put in some dimmer switches for us. They kept us posted on their arrival time. When they saw what the project was, they didn't have the necessary items to hang the chandelier so they took a trip into town to get the needed parts and returned and promptly got the light hung. They kept checking with us to make sure it was hung according to our preferences. I would highly recommend Byrd Electric

They came out to arrange for a standby generator installation that they will be doing in a month or so. We were very impressed with the installer Frank's courtesy, knowledge, and ability to answer all our questions. In addition to the generator, they will be installing new over the counter kitchen lights and replacing ceiling lights.

I have to revisit my previous great review with some new information. Byrd Electric has been to my home several times over the past year. We were doing a remodel and rack time they sent the same guy for continuity. This time I called they advised the regular guy was no longer with them and that it would be, at least, three weeks before they could come out.
Since other contractors were standing by, we were forced to hire another company. When they came in they discovered two code violations that had been installed by the Byrd electrician which had to be corrected prior to them continuing the process. Turns out that Byrd not being responsive was a good thing in that I was able to correct previous mistakes.

Jeff & Chris helped me out earlier this week with a "rush" electrical issue. They were great! Prompt, skilled, friendly, & professional. That has always been my experience in having used Byrd on multiple occasions. Byrd is the best! Follow-up: I had a second Byrd Electric service visit a couple of weeks later. This time, Glen and Chris were on site to install multiple kitchen lights. Once again, great service and quality at a very fair price! They more than met my expectations!

I have nothing to say but great customer service, from making my appointment to having them call me when they were on the way. Everything done was top notch. Had to make a second appointment after some of the materials were defective and again easy to make an appointment, Heather was very nice and understanding. Glen did a great job installing my ceiling fan and pairing the remote. He was pleasant and professional. Highly recommend this company!

Number of service issues with 1989-built house we recently purchased. Some known and some unknown challenging issues. Byrd was able to service and resolve the problems. Experienced and professional. Happy recommending them for service work. As with all good service folks in our current economic situation, scheduling can be a bit problematic but worth any waiting.

Called Byrd Electric a few weeks ago. Was told that they'll inspect the whole thing to restore the power, the quote would be free. But then an electrician came and said he cannot inspect, and then asked for 150 dollars. I told him I need the quote for restoring power, but he asked 150 dollars and told me will give me a quote later. Several weeks past, didn't hear anything from them. Now I got power, and still not receive any message. The whole process was unpleasant, and the electrician was very rude and unprofessional. Don't use them.

Jeff and Jay rewired our home's troublesome electrical system today. They are the best! There was a little glitch and Jeff returned right away to resolve it. These guys are hard working and know their stuff. If you want a quality job, call Byrd! FYI: They do accept credit cards but they charge a percentage fee for doing so. I wasn't aware of that. I think you should know as we intended to put it on the card, but not willing to pay an extra $67.

I recently called Byrd Electric to address a malfunctioning attic fan. Even though this was not an emergency they came out the same day. Jeff was fantastic in every way. He is obviously a very nice person and he went out of his way to address our problem. Access to our attic fan was very difficult given how our attic is constructed and where the attic fan was located.
Despite these difficulties, Jeff figured out a way to address our problem to our complete satisfaction. I would highly recommend Byrd Electric for any of your electrical needs. Special thanks to Jeff.

Called about an outlet circuit that was dead. After a thorough search it was discovered an outlet arced and burned through the wires. It was a miracle there wasn't a fire. After after repairing the wires and putting in a new outlet we had the electrician change light bulbs in our very high ceiling to LED bulbs. He ever cleaned our ceiling fan! Absolutely top notch service!
