Lander Electric

I've used Lander on a couple different projects. First, they added a sub panel for me for a portable generator and installed some new lights and circuits for a small remodel project. When I finally got my generator, I realized the panel wasn't working right; it wouldn't cut over to the generator power. I called and they came out to look at it.

At first, the technician claimed he hadn't installed it and had never seen a panel like that. Then I showed him the receipt he had signed. He said he'd have to do research and get back to me. That was 3 months ago. I've been calling them about every 2 weeks since then and they either ignore my calls and emails or when they do reply, it's a different excuse every time.

I hope they're all ok, but I haven't gotten a reply to my last few attempts to contact them so I don't know. I got a different company to fix the generator panel; in about an hour he'd contacted the panel manufacturer and found that the original installer had messed up the wiring. I also used Lander to install some new circuits in my garage.

That was pretty expensive ($400/circuit for a run about 10 feet from the panel). I had to call them back because they gave me 15 amp outlets on a 20 amp circuit. When they came back, he only had enough outlets with him to change out one of the 3 runs they installed and said he was trying to save the company money. They also charged me $275 to rip a wire out of an exterior wall that wasn't even wired to a circuit inside.

I get that electricians have to charge what they charge, but given what I've paid them for these projects, I expected better service and to not get ghosted when they screwed up my generator panel. I won't be using them or recommending them again.

We can't recommend Lander Electric enough. We have an old 1956 house that needed all the receptacles, switches, and fixtures. Joe Walter found all the old problems and got the house up to code. They also put in a new floodlight for our driveway. The pricing was average for the bids but the customer service and work were excellent. Here on date and time they scheduled. Got straight to work and kept at it until the job was done. Helpful and straightforward about what you can and can't do for a house this old. Excellent

Incredible work! Joe and Carson spent 2 days at our residence in Bellevue working on a wide variety of projects. They hit it out of the park! Amazing attention to detail.fabulous professionalism.great attitude (in spite of the fact that an aging house threw them a few curveballs).excellent customer-service, and ability to explain what they were doing at every stage of the project.the list goes on and on.

If only all service professionals had this sort of an approach to their job and profession.wow! Even the City of Bellevue inspector, when he came to inspect the work said "Wow!" --- at first I couldn't tell if he was going to start to trot out a list of issues with the work, but when I inquired what "Wow" meant he said --- "These guys did a REALLY great job!" My advice to anyone needing electrical work done --- don't bother calling around --- just dial Lander and wait for greatness.

Great service. Its so nice to find an electrician who will come out for a small job and do great work. Joe was awesome and even fixed something that wasn't on the original work order.

Super quick to come fix my problems. The technicians are really friendly and knowledgeable.

Lander Electric has a range of services most electrical contractors don't. They wire new construction for all electrical systems, but also install custom lighting, lighting control systems, home audio/video, and home security systems (they don't offer security monitoring though). Not the cheapest electricians, but the work and the customer service were great.

Wants $65 just to give a bid. Every other company did the bid for free.

Just had them out to troubleshoot and fix 3 outlets that were not working. Due to multiple remodels, it was not an easy fix but they did a great job and the price was reasonable. Would definitely call them again.

Don't waste your time. They scheduled an appointment for estimate to change out an outlet for range conversion, technician no-showed 1st appointment. When I called the office Kayla informed me Shane had called out sick and she failed to call me to cancel. I gave them another chance, waited 2 weeks for an afternoon appointment and Kayla called me today to reschedule again.

I currently have 2 weeks till my appliance delivery and Lander can't work me in to their schedule leaving me to find another electrician on short notice. Utter waste of time dealing with this firm.

Our property management company has been working with Lander for a couple years. Recently, we scheduled an appointment two weeks out to get one of our residents baseboard heaters repaired. We were given a 1-3 window of arrival. On that day at 1:30 we received a call stating they needed to confirm the appointment before they would send someone. We called them back at 2pm and again every 15-20 minutes to try to reach them to confirm.

I too called them and left a message and they were already gone for the day. No show. When I called the office to see what was going on and why they hadnt shown, the lady sort of laughed and said, they tried to confirm the appointment but they couldnt wait a couple hours to get a call back from us. Additionally, she tried throwing my maintenance guy under the bus by saying he wasnt calling the right number. Upset by this, my guy showed me his call log and sure enough, he had called them when he said he did. Lastly, if I schedule an appointment, I expect someone to show up.

Not call when they are supposed to be there to confirm. Especially since we cant always answer our phones immediately since we too are in customer service. In conclusion, I think it best to call Active Electric, as they came out the same day and saved the day!

I've been employing Lander Electric for about 20 years. I trust Shane to get the job done--on the most recent project he finished well ahead of time and saved me 300.00. He communicates very well, listens to my often vague requests about piddly little projects and has always been available. Sometimes it's hard to reach the office, which is why I give them 4 stars instead of 5. Otherwise, I can't recommend them highly enough for your lighting and other electrical projects.

Debbie, Michael and everyone from Landers electric have provided professional and friendly service. 1915 craftsman. service line, circuit box, outdoor wiring for heat pumps, removal knob tube wiring, outlets, ceiling fans, bathroom exhaust fan, lighting, and timers. They always had a can do attitude. Explained all work, and pricing. No problems with work, or service 5 years.

Note to potential customers: Lander Electric are pricy. However, at least in my case they managed to fix many issues (GFI devices, exterior outlet covers, electric shield work, generator wiring check and adjustment and more) fast and stay within the quoted price. Scheduling: Easy to schedule over Internet or by phone. Unfortunately it's almost impossible to schedule an electric to stop by within a week or two in the area, so expect at least two, maybe three weeks of waiting to get an estimate on the work to be done. Scheduling the actual appointment to fix things may take an additional 3-4 weeks. However, they do care about customers and if they have an update, they call you in after hours to make sure you are aware of schedule changes etc. Estimate: Electric was at my place about 5 minutes prior the scheduled time, provided an estimate on work to be done, suggested what extra work may be needed when changes/fixes are made. Appointment: An electric who worked on the project was polite, answered to all questions I had, helped to troubleshoot some issues with generator and also detected a problem with generator hook-up, then fixed it. I highly recommend Lander Electric, but keep in mind that you will pay extra $$$ for the service. For some people this may be a key factor.

As good as it gets. Thank you for fixing your competitors mess up. My home automation system works amazing now thanks to lander electric and all of their employees that worked on my home. The employees are knowledgeable friendly efficient very helpful.

Unfortunately I have to revise my review. I still think very highly of the electrical / high voltage side of Lander, and all of the electrical work done in my house has held up very well. However, the low voltage work done in my house is proving to b a train wreck. I've had the police out to my house twice now due to false alarms based on bad wiring in the security system, my home theatre components have been super difficult to install in every location because of the way Lander placed the connections relative to the component racks, and now all of the speakers in my media room are non-functional because the wiring Lander did is defective. Worse of all Lander is saying they can't provide warranty repair for the wiring for over a month, which is unacceptable, and means I'm going to have to pay someone else to do the repair and go after Lander for the costs. Very, very disappointing.

I have been using Lander for my electrical projects since 1992. I have had them install new outlets, do network wiring, do electrical work for a new air conditioner, repair landscape lighting and lots of other projects. I guess there might be 25 projects over the years. They have always showed up when they said they would, done the work professionally, and charged what they said they would charge.

One recent project was to install a 220v outlet in my shop for use with a table saw. The county inspector who examined the work said that he was always happy to hear that he was inspecting Lander work because he seldom had to give a homeowner bad news.

2 guys x $45/hour x 3 hours to hook up A/C unit. You do the math. Left pizza boxes, garbage on the job site. Broke a fixture, never replaced it. Put in fixtures upside down. Sloppy, slow and $$$$$$!

We had a breaker that was not working properly and also needed to add an outlet. Lucas from Lander Electric came and did the job in a timely manner. We knew how much it was going to cost and they scheduled the right amount of time to do the job. Pleased with the whole process.

Great great great job! I can't share our pleasant experience with Lucus Smith from Lander Electric with you. He has done an awesome job for our home. Before hiring him, we talked to a few other contractors/companies and never got a satisfied solution. All previous contractors told us that in order to achieve what we want, we need to cut the wall, repainting here, there.blablabla and also asked for unreasonable cost. Lucas is total opposite.

He is so honest to us and did a wonderful job. I noticed the poor review from JK below and feel sorry for that. My point is that a right contractor is more important than the reputation of the company.

My husband hired this company for some projects in and outside our home. He wanted to do it himself, but knew if he hired a qualified electrician it would be done efficiently and safely. This was definately the case. What I liked was they were prompt and reasonably priced. The electrian they sent understood immediatly what work we wanted to get done and got to it. Our 4 projects are no longer on my husband's to do list and the new outside lights turn on when I takeout the garbage or there is movement in the backyard.

Use them at your own risk. I have them come to fix some wiring problem and a week later the same problem appeared again. I called them they said it was fixed and have no warranty. However, they said it will send someone over to fix it again but i have to pay for it. The only mistake i make was i never looked at other review about this company on the internet before i hired them. Big mistake. They had so much bad reviews that you would never want to use them again.

These guys have serviced me for years. They are dependable, reliable and their prices are reasonable. It's a pleasure to work with a local company that's down the street and family owned. I think they really care about me and their prices are reasonable.

Recommended an unusual solution that he was unfamiliar with. Had to reschedule the work due to his misunderstanding the product. The city inspector had never seen such a thing and it took several days to get signed off, during which time I wondered if I had spent $2K on junk. The inspector had him come back out and fix a minor issue. Seemed too expensive for half a days work and some metal and wire. Fitment not that great.
