Needed an emergency shut off switch for a water heater. Rich offered fair quotes and provided a solution that another electrician did not offer. Paul completed the actual work. A few years ago, I had a problem with an outside automatic light that was supposed to light when dark and go off when it was light outside. It wasn't working. Haines electric figured it out when no one else could. The owner is very professional, respectful and friendly as was his assistant. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company.

I needed a couple of electrical things done in my house. A ceiling fan installed and a basement electrical outlet replaced and installed in a better spot. I live in a 100+ year old house, so calling a handyman to do it just seemed risky given the older wiring. I decided it was best to call a professional. And that is exactly what I got with this company, I could not have been happier!

The day of the scheduled appointment it was raining and really messy out. I recently had all new carpeting and entry flooring installed and was concerned about having a work guy come in making a mess. I was more than pleasantly surprised I didn't have to say one word. The first thing Paul did when he stepped inside was lay down a clean, dry industrial carpet mat.

And then proceeded to put new plastic protective booties over his work boots. What a great 1st impression! Next, I showed him where the two issues where and he got to work. Some issues with both installations came up. He was really good at showing me and explaining them and giving me all the options and pricing so I could decide how I wanted him to proceed.

He was very through and professional and at no time left me feeling pressured. He was very easy to work with. It was the absolute right decision to call a professional because the issues that were brought to my attention could have been a fire hazard later if not done correctly. I was VERY PLEASED with the excellent service provided, and will keep this company's number handy if I need another electrical job done.

And will be more than happy to recommend them if someone needs one. It will cost you a little more than a handyman, but it will be worth every single penny in not worrying about your house and getting the job done correctly the 1st time. After 3 unsuccessful attempts to get other electricians to return my calls, I found Haines Electric and I am thrilled with the service they provided. Rich returned my phone call, came on time to spec the job, gave me a reasonable price and promptly began the work on the agreed upon dates. His team works cleanly and efficiently. A snag was encountered during the installation that, with a less knowledgeable company, would have meant tearing out walls, Rich was able to solve with no interior damage. I have been using Rich for over a decade. HIs company is always professional, does a great job and is reasonably priced. Recently I hired him to replace 53 year old bulbs and wiring harnesses that were not working. While doing the job, his team diagnosed and fixed an electrical problem that may have resulted in a fire had they not fixed it. After redoing the outdoor lights, it is better than ever.

The outside is better lite then it has been in the past, uses less electricity with new bulb technology and is better insulated against the weather and insects. I highly recommend Rich's company.

Excellent! Had 6 recessed lights installed in living room. Very worried about electrician having to cut into ceiling. Haines worked their magic! Ran all the wires without any cutting channels in ceiling. They went the extra mile, crawling in the small attic spaces instead of cutting the ceiling, which would have been easier, I'm sure. I had an emergency situation when the aluminum siding company while inspecting my house found that the cable that is the main lead wire from the main box was very frayed and was in terrible condition. I was looking for a licensed reputable electrician and I found Haines Electric. Rita the receptionist is very nice and professional. I had a circuit issue and Haines scheduled and prompt services was excellent. Their prices were reasonable. Rich came out, was very detailed and outlined the options and prices clearly. A quality, personable and professional job throughout. Part of the solution required a new re-route of the circuit and that required some holes in a newly painted wall, but Rich managed to get the run pulled with one small hole and he applied the wall patch as well. All I had to do was sand and repaint. Great job overall, very courteous, clean and efficient. Will hire again for some projects in the spring and will recommend to others.
