They did exactly what they said they would do, when they said they would do it and with the highest degree of expertise and professionalism. Chris and his family do a fantastic job start to finish. With covid things were harder than typical yet they still did right by us. Sold and installed a 20K generator with whole home auto transfer switch. Never again will we lose power. They handled all the permits and coordinating with other contractors. Service: Installation

My Generac generator worked fine for 7 years. JHACS took over the maintenance contract in April and then the storm hit this week and the generator didn't work. They sent two guys over who spent an hour looking at it (and poring over large bound manuals which did not inspire confidence) and then left. 2 other guys came the next day, spent half an hour and then told me it needed a new stator (which would have to be ordered and takes a whole day to install).
The office suggested I might want to just buy a new generator! I emailed them asking for cost to fix the one I have and how long it would take and they replied " When I have a minute to breathe I will provide an estimate". Generac told me to get a second opinion when I told them what JHACS said about the stator needing replacement. I cancelled my maintenance contract with them now and they won't even give me a pro-rated refund of the annual fee.

I have to say that this company is honest and they provide excellent service. My wife has not been happy with the company that installed our generator as it didn't work properly once installed. I received a letter in the mail from Generac regarding my plenum and decided to contact JHACS as they are a certified dealer. JHACS came to diagnose the plenum issue and they serviced my unit. I am beyond pleased and will be calling them to enroll in their service agreement for generators. Quality service! Thank you JHACS!

Undisputed facts on dealing with this firm:: 1) This firm insists on having your credit card information before dispatching a technician. Reason: They can than charge whatever they want as they do not give an estimate of diagnostic cost or repair cost. They expect you to sign the Work order and bill arrives in the mail. NYS law requires a written estimate 2) The firm bills on a T & M (Time and Material) for diagnostic and repair.
A non union technician is billed at $ 174/hr (typically a Lawyer or Doctors fee). Even my Mercedes Benz service with a loaner car do not charge as much. I received a invoice for $500 for labor ( 2 technicians) 3) No estimate was given for replacing the defective control wire between the Generator and the transfer switch as they diagnosed. 4) Field Work order did no include any pricing and an inflated bill arrived in the mail and was promptly charged to my card without any verbal or written authorization. 4) I would strongly advise on getting other firms that have free estimates on diagnosis/repair or with fixed diagnostic costs and itemized written estimate of repair costs.
And DO NOT: Under any circumstances give out your credit card information and /or sign a field work order without $ amounts filled in. They will charge (without authorization) arbitrarily without discussion and You will have to dispute that with the Credit card company. 5) Bottom line. The original problem as they diagnosed was not corrected and neither was an estimate given for correcting the defective control wire. Their charge as billed $ 589.12 for diagnosis.

Hired them to install new lights in my house over the winter. They installed LED hi-hats, outdoor motions lights and a new chandelier in my kitchen. When replacing one of my hallway lights one of the guys noticed the wiring to the outlet was improperly run from the previous homeowners! They came back the following day to fix the issue and installed a new dimmer too. I was extremely pleased with the service! The guys were polite, honest and very professional.
