Stay away from this company. They installed my residential system a few years back. The system developed a problem within the warranty coverage period and they are reneging on their obligation to repair. Shamelessly refused to honor the warranty. Bunch of crooks!

We had spoken to many solar companies to get solar. Our business operates 24/7 so having a company that does not slow down our operations was important. YSG kept us up to speed through out the entire process. Thank you YSG, you made the process simple and the work came out great. We are excited to start saving money and are thrilled to use all of the tax benefits from the city and government. You guys rock!

It's been over 5 months since we signed the contract and paid for our solar and still, we are not connected. we can't get any answer from the salesperson, and they never answer the office line. horrible costumer service! I strongly recommend never to deal with them!

My husband and I got quotes online from 2 other companies before signing with YSG. First of all, the other two quotes we got were nothing like the final price they provided so that already rubbed me the wrong way. They also both had shorter warranties so I knew even if we saved a small amount upfront we would most likely end up paying for it later.

We finally signed with YSG in May 2020 and had our system fully installed and connected by the end of July, just in time to see our $450 summer Con Ed bill shrink to $62 within the first month. We have had smooth sailing since then. I would definitely recommend YSG to friends and family.

We have been receiving letters in the mail for the last 5 years. At one point my wife and I even signed a contract with Cypress Creek only to waste over a year and to get nothing accomplished. YSG really stood out to us being a company that was actually based in New York state instead of most of the other companies who contacted us to lease our land who are in California.

The process took over 2 years from the point we signed the lease until the lease payments started. YSG took care of the entire process and it didn't cost us anything. Thank you YSG, the lease payments go towards our retirement and we could not be happier leasing our land to YSG Solar farms. The only regrets we have is not finding YSG sooner

YSG installed my system in 2019 and it broke in 2021 and it took me sometime for them to respond to my calls and emails. Finally they send a part which I had to hire someone to install it. It broke again in January 2022 and I have been trying to contact them via email and phone and no one answering them. Every equipment will break at some point, if you want a quality service DO NOT HIRE YSG. From my experience, they will never take ownership of their job.

People working in the office are nice but people hired by YGS are not professional. Under solar panels many Wire hang that suppose to be dressed and ro be secured. Later on that wire will give you problem. YSG solar hire cheap Chinese labor that are not good quality of skills. They did a job. Not fraud. I got the solar and people were nice to me all the times. But you have to think who is going to install your solar.

Stay away from this company! Took them eight months for a two week installation! Customer service is the worst I've ever experienced in any business! If you need service done good luck with that! I written to the better business bureau about this Company and still no Service. I still have an open permit open on my home from there installations from 2018 so haven't received any property tax credit for the solar panels! It's 2021 now! There's no way to get in touch with them over the phone only by email which they respond to if they feel like it or never. Believe the company is going out of business or something but trust me you wanna stay away from them!

All I can say is wow and convey surprise that solar is actually all it's cracked up to be. For years I had been hearing about people getting solar panels but never understood how we could benefit with the gloomy weather we have 9 months a year in NY (ha). Then we finally heard about YSG from my wife's coworker and decided to get an estimate since it didn't obligate us to anything.

After speaking with our accountant we realized it was actually a beneficial investment for us. We ended up not taking any vacations last year (Thank you Covid. I guess) and used the money we saved to pay for the net portion. The rest we financed with no interest. YSG helped us complete all the financing docs and pulled all the permitting etc for us. Had our system installed July 2021 and have seen a huge reduction. All in all I'm glad we invested. Would recommend YSG.

We are very satisfied with the overall experience with YSG. Ken and team was very professional to walk us through the process every step of the way. Installation crew knows what they are doing and get everything installed within a day.

YSG is your one stop shop for everything solar and renewal energy. I've been working with them on some solar farm prospects and Dave, Raymond and Dylan are the absolute best! Being a professional like myself I need to work with a company that's committed to making sure everything runs smooth with no interruptions. YSG is head and shoulders above the rest for sure.

This company is very unprofessional. I greatly regret hiring them. Do yourself a favor and Stay away. There are much better options out there. Salesman Ken made multiple misrepresentations including the amount of panels I would get. He stated to me that I would be getting a storage battery and when it wasn't installed he then strung me along for months telling me that it would be installed soon.

He then told me that I would have to hire the installation company directly and that I would have to pay them. Needless to say I had to hire a lawyer and am in the process of filing a lawsuit.

After hearing about solar incentives and doing some due diligence research for a local solar contractor, I found YSG. Originally nervous about undertaking such a huge project, Ken answered all 1 million of my questions with patience. No pressure, I wasted at least 3 months of his time before I actually went through with the process. The only problem I ran into was installation timing.

Given we're doing this amidst a global pandemic, shipping times etc all were affected. Needless to say I'm very happy with my install and the product itself. I highly recommend these guys and if you want to see their work first hand ask them to show you my property. I got 19 panels installed.

WARNING - DO NOT USE YSG SOLAR. They do not honor their rebates or promises. We were fraudulently induced into entering into a contract and promised in writing a $2000 rebate. After installation, we requested the rebate and were told that the salesperson that offered us the rebate no longer works there and they wouldn't honor it. There is a complaint filed with the NYS Attorney General's Office Consumer Fraud Unit and the Better Business Bureau. YSG's response is riddled with lies and misrepresentations.

This was not an after the fact asking for a promotion! We are not relying on a promotion. We were induced into a contract for solar with a promised rebate of $2000. This was written directly to us from salesman Steven O'Donnell from YSG Solar. After installation, we requested our rebate was was told that the salesman no longer works there and he was mistaken so they wouldn't honor the rebate.

This led to 5 months of emails and calls and they finally sent us half. They refused to give us the remaining rebate money. Reported to the NYS Attorney General's Consumer Fraud Unit and the Better Business Bureau. Even more troubling is that they lied to the BBB and said this was a promotion we were seeking after the fact - completely ignoring the written emails with the promised rebate!

Every consumer needs to be aware of their fraudulent practices that introduced us to YSG. We did have contract negotiations with salesman Steven O'Donnell. He wrote in an email to us that the system we were purchasing entitled us to the $2000 rebate and 6 months of free solar. We verified it with him and he repeated the promise to us. Why do you fail to address this email?

Not the promotion - the promise that induced us to enter in a contract in the first place. Your timeline also forgets that when we called to inquire about our rebate we were told that Steven O'Donnell doesn't work at YSG anymore and you would not honor the rebate he promised us! I have NEVER said that I am an attorney so give me money. That is an irresponsible lie. I asked to speak to the legal department and was told there isn't one! Please stop the lies. Reputable businesses do not conduct themselves in this manner.

So I used this company on the recommendation of a friend and I absolutely regret it. Now I know this review is coming a few years too late but finally got around to doing it. I had the system installed in February 2018. The original design of the system was for 22 300 watt panels with the solaredge 7600 watt inverter making it a 6.6kwh peak system.

Due to my house having a flat roof they would of had to put 2 panels on the lower roof so to keep it looking symmetrical we agreed to add 2 more panels to the system which should have made it a 7.2kwh peak system. Install went fairly smooth only issue was the installers left a mess in my basement, not a huge issue but unprofessional. Once we got into summer I started noticing my system is clipping at 5kwh.

I found this odd considering the system size. I look at the inverter on my house and notice its not the size that was supposed to be put on. They installed the solaredge 5000 watt inverter. I brought this up to the company numerous times and was basically blown off every time and fed lines of crap as to why that inverter was put on. Fast forward to 2019 and we started getting a leak in the ceiling in my youngest kids room. YSG sent their roofer out to look at it and confirmed it was from the install. YSG only wanted to patch the spot on the roof.

After arguing with them the agreed to remove the system and WE paid to have the roof replaced that they messed up. After the roof was replaced we fought with them for about another month to get the panels reinstalled. They kept canceling appointments, and one of the appointments we had the installers never came but aparently(according to them) had actually come and finished the job.

Obviously a lie because the panels were still pulled up in front of my garage, oh and I couldn't use my garage this whole time because where the panels where. I do not recommend this company. They promise you one thing and don't deliver. Oh and I had talked to the owner of the company that installed my father's solar system and he confirmed what I already new which is that they under powered my system with the smaller inverter. Do yourself a favor and stay away.

YSG are the go to solar guys. Two of my colleagues had systems installed by two of the bigger name companies and both of them have had non stop issues since their systems were installed in 2017 and 2018. I had a hard time finding a solar contractor after listening to their experiences until I met YSG at a trade show out in Staten Island in 2019. After about a year of going back and forth we finally pulled the trigger and had our system installed January 2020, right before the pandemic hit.

Throughout all the shut downs and issues out of their control YSG was able to keep me in the loop and the closeout process was pretty quick considering what disarray the city was in at that point. Our system has been running beautifully for the last 5ish months since it was turned on and we've overproduced so far this summer. If my wife gets her way we'll be moving out of the city soon and I would absolutely hire YSG again for a solar system. Thanks Felix C.

My Tesla is now being charged from the sun! thank you YSG Solar. In September we started searching for a solar panel company. My neighbor used another company that we met previously who came to our home to provide us an estimate. We started the process and after months nothing occurred, my husband ended up cancelling. We called YSG and within one day of calling we received the estimate.

From the day the paperwork was signed until the panel system had been installed was just weeks. This was a big relief. It was not an easy decision for us to go electric with our car. YSG even installed our Tesla charger, they delivered on all of their promises and are a true professional company. There is nothing better than getting a $20 power bill.

The team to install led by James and Eric were awesome. They accommodated the ideas I had about the system install and even accommodated some semi last minute equipment changes my husband wanted to make regarding different looking panels. The work looks great and they cleaned up very well. Really nice guys, they even took the time to go over the system with my son so he can keep an eye on it when we're out of town for half the year.

We had our system installed in June 2020 and have already banked a good amount of power with Coned above what we used, which used to be around $250/month. Couldn't be more satisfied.

I don't actually think I've ever dealt with a less competent company. The odd thing is, their incompetence is almost equally matched with arrogance and rudeness. I ordered solar from YSG in July of 2019. It was an entire Brooklyn roof of panels. 26 panels, about 26k for the entire install, before rebates etc. It's now February, 2021 and YSG still hasn't completed the work. They've missed or broken dozens and dozens of appointments and promises.

I literally have been calling, emailing, screaming and fighting with this company for almost two years. I've seen employee after employee leave, disgusted with having to work for this company. The boss, one David Magid, won't answer customers personally at any level. He hides behind his staff, letting them take the heat. YSG is a freak show. Literally one of the most regrettable choices I ever made. I feel like a hostage.

Read any negative review on Yelp. It is the truth. Anything positive must be a lie. DO NOT hire this company. David Magid is a charlatan. They never finished the job. Never bothered to finish any of the paperwork at the building department. It's been 2 years of trying to resolve the issues. They are such horrible people They even blamed their incompetence on Covid 19. Deplorable.

Let me repeat again. DO NOT HIRE David Magid or any of his band of fools to do a solar project for you. YSG Solar is the worst possible choice you can make in your life. Beware! I Hate the fact that I have been forced to give a star.

Stay away. These people are crooks who took our money, put up the panels and never connected them for one full year. It was only through our repeated efforts and requests that they eventually re-installed them properly. And though they accepted complete responsibility and offered payment to amend the situation, we have yet to receive compensation and will undoubtedly wind up in court. They are frauds. Do yourself a favor and find honest people looking to do good for the environment.

DO NOT USE this company! My contract is NOT UP YET and they will not call me back. Read all the other negative Yelp reviews on YSG. All the same, once they get you to sign with them, they will answer you in the beginning. Then good luck towards the middle and the end of your contract, NO PHONES CALLS BACK! If they post a response back on Yelp, they LIE.

For one month, I reached out to them and still no return phone call. What company does that? They emailed me back and said my contract was up. LIE! If they post a copy of my contract showing it expired, it will be a LIE! It expires September 10, 2020. I now have to pay another company to check my panels due to a two high PSEG bills. This is a huge investment on your home, don't make the mistake like myself and all the other people on Yelp.

This has been so frustrating the amount of time you waste, it's like a second job. It's such an insult the way you are ignored by them. Save the stress of owning solar and find another company. READ ALL REVIEWS FIRST ON YSG!

I spent probably a good year going back and forth between a few companies looking for the best option. I called countless past customers for their experience etc before finally deciding to go with YSG. My neighbor had used YSG and had nothing but good things to say so I figured why not and gave it a shot. For a guy on the younger side, the owner really knows his stuff.

He spent I'd say probably a collective 5 hours over the course of a few months answering my MANY calls and many emails. I feel like these days it's not typical to get the actual owner of a company on the phone but he made me feel comfortable like I was one of his guys and wasn't putting him out. The job itself took about a week. Everyone cleaned up after themselves.

One thing I do want to say is there was a small hiccup that delayed the guys from finishing for an extra day but the crew handled it like champs. We've also had to do one warranty claim in the last year the system has been installed from rats chewing through a wire, and again his crew handled it like champs. If I ever get my dream vacation house I'll be calling up YSG to install solar for me again.

After researching several of the top solar companies in our area we went with YSG Solar and we are glad we did. The project proceeded just as the sales rep explained it would and the cost was exactly what the written proposal said it would be. We were notified all along the way by email at each step. Getting the funding for the system was easy and painless. all done electronically and guided by YSG.

When it was time for our install we were notified that there was a shortage of our selected panels so they upgraded us at NO Charge to us to the next highest rated panel which produces more energy per panel. The install continued on schedule. On install day, the installers arrived on time and began work. I was very impressed with the workers and how quickly and efficiently they installed the panels.

Once completed and the inspection was done it did take a few days longer than necessary to get the paperwork transferred to Coned but once it was done the next day we got the OK from Coned to turn it on. It's been working perfectly since then. We went live 10/5/20 and just recently got our first bill since the install from Coned and the result is our electric bill was 9 cents for October.

For sept we paid $143 electric and for august we paid $166 for electric before our system was producing. So this means we have already saved over $150/month so far and our system wasn't even activated for the highest producing summer months yet. Can't wait to see what our system does next summer. Super satisfied with YSG Solar.

Phone calls and e-mails are responded to quickly. Even after the job is done and you see the savings they are still there to answer questions you may have.

After getting quote from a handful of Solar companies I chose YSG because they offered the best prices and were the most transparent as far as financing, installation, and the products that would be part of the system. Also I was never pressured into decisions, credit checks, or contract unlike all other companies out there. I worked with Kenneth who is fantastic sales guy to work with and always follows up on your questions, picking up your calls, follows up on emails, and comes through on all of the promises made. I'm now referring other friends and family to contact Ken for their solar needs and you should too.

This company is TERRIBLE and David, the manager doesn't care and knows NOTHING about customer service and the value of money. For a system that cost over $20,000, a year later, and my solar is still not connecting and I'm being charged my regular billing by Con Edison. After endless calls and emails, Raymond, Mary and everyone else in the office, is only focusing on the new customers, not ensuring that existing customers systems are up and running.

They go days, weeks and even a month without a follow up or return call. Also, forget your credits and tax documents being done on time. I'm reporting this company to the IRS as well, because I'm sure I'm not the only one, but $20,000 is ALOT of money. I've never done reviews on companies, but this company is on another level of ripoff.

After looking into several solar companies, we decided to go with YSG and was glad we did. They took the time to answer every single question I had, and I never felt pressured to purchasing the solar unlike the other companies. The work they did was neat and on time. Upon completion of the solar, they followed up several times to see how the solar was performing and to make sure my electricity bill was correct. If your looking to add solar, definitely check out YSG.

YSG did everything they promised, even though they're from LI they used local professional contractors. We purchased our system and have NO electric bill!
