Call them before you call anyone else. It saved me $2000 and several hours of unnecessary work. They KNOW the history of this area and how to manage electrical systems in old houses. My house is from the 1940s as soon as I told them that they had a ton of ideas of how to fix my lights and outlets. I will be calling them first for anything. I wish they did more than electric! Same day service! Constantin is the best!

We have had C&A to our house three times over the past six months and we have been very pleased with each service. Among the services performed were replacing electrical outlets, replacing the indirect lighting in our kitchen, installing ceiling fans and installing a large chandelier. They provided sound advice when we had questions. They also wanted to be sure we were happy with the outcome.
After the indirect lighting was installed in the kitchen, we decided it was too bright for our tastes and they readily worked with us to find a better solution. They are very friendly and take great care with their work. I highly recommend C&A.

C&A did a phenomenal job installing several light fixtures throughout our apartment. They were prompt when answering our inquiry and quick to find a date and time which worked with our busy schedules. I cannot thank them enough for providing knowledge and insight when making lighting decisions. Especially since this is not an area I am familiar with. I learned so much from their suggestions and never felt pressured to buy/invest more. I recommend them for personal lighting installation!

We used C&A Electric to do the electrical renovations of both our DC locations. We were extremely pleased with their knowledge in the electrical field. C&A is been in business for 30+ years and have worked with some biggest developers in the city. we definitely recommend the for any commercial work. KT.

I used C & A for almost $5000 worth of electrical repairs to a home I recently purchased. Scheduling was often difficult and much of the work was sloppy and haphazardly done. Eventually I wised up and hired another contractor to finish the job and correct C & A's mistakes. Wish I figured out I was being taken for a ride sooner.

I've used C&A five times - at my rental property and my home. Every time the crew arrived on time, is prepared, fast and the end result is super high-quality. These guys are absolute pros. Way better than a handyman! And there is never a question if something is done right (so I'll worry later if it was done safely). Absolutely 100% recommend these guys.

These guys are stellar. They not only estimated lower (and in my opinion more accurately) than all the others I called, they actually charged exactly what they estimated. i needed something done really quickly and It had to be done soon. It was also a small job so I was worried no one would take it. However, Stephen was really professional and the guy that came out was equally professional.
He arrived at the time promised and fixed it in no time at all. He also gave me some great advice on how to hook up my lights without having to spend a fortune. A welcome experience since I hadn't dealt with many electricians before.

I bought an old house (built in the '40s), which the selling real estate agency had remodeled. sort-of. Among other things, they installed three-prong outlets throughout the house (and painted everything so it looked new), but did nothing about the original '40s wiring. There was no "ground" anywhere in the house, except for the kitchen, which was slightly extended in the remodeling.
Enter "C&A Electric." I found them through Google, called them and explained the problem and its extent (almost 30 ungrounded outlets), and one of the proprietors (this is a local, family owned and operated business) immediately came out to survey the situation. In two days, I had complete and professional proposals/quotes, broken up into logically separate jobs.
Two days after that, three of their electricians were snaking grounding wires to each receptacle in the house (and did a few other installations, such as a 220V dryer plug). In two days, they were done with that (almost 30 receptacles, on three levels), and returned a third day just to hang two ceiling fans. All told, in about a week, my three level detached single family house went from blank grounding to fully grounded!
Throughout their work, the "C&A Electric" electricians were respectful, professional, clean, and diligent. And, they managed to do all that with making only four minor holes in the drywall! This follow-up repair was something even I could do (and I am really no handyman)! Throughout, the "C&A Electric" office kept in touch by phone and e-mail, the final invoice was prompt, complete and very fair (we've had to update a few items from the proposal as the work was being carried through). Excellent service!

C&A were hired by our contractor as our electrical subcontractors. We were renovating our entire condo and so the job included wiring for cable, phones and lights throughout. The electricians they sent were sloppy, could not read the electrical plans, and took forever. They installed the cable wiring incorrectly and caused us to have to cut open our brand new walls and ceiling in order for them to rewire, leaving us with patches on our new drywall.
They installed lights backwards, haphazardly and most of the electrical sockets are still crooked. We had two designer chandeliers in the bedroom and dining room, both of which were not installed correctly - the dining room was installed at a weird angle and had to be straightened out, and the one in the bedroom was installed without the center piece.
When we explained to them what was done wrong, they insisted that WE were wrong and charged us double for changing everything. In addition to sloppy work, they also managed to scratch our newly installed hardwood floors and crack the new tile in the kitchen, both of which my contractor then had to replace. I cannot express our displeasure with their work strongly enough. Stay far far away from them if you want your job done correctly.
