I stopped in for a conference about getting a whole house generator installed and spoke to Mike Bratcher, he was extremely professional and very helpful! Definitely a company to look into for all your electrical needs! Jumping ahead to 3-28-2022. Bratcher Electric just installed our whole house generator we couldn't be happier with the service we received!

I gave Bratcher Electric ample time to reach out to me before I decided to post this review. They simply don't care and sadly must have so much business that they feel they can treat prospective customers poorly. This is honestly the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. I am a business owner myself, and I know a bad review is hurtful to a business, so I always attempt to contact the business and give them the opportunity to remedy a problem before posting any negative comments about them. Unfortunately, I've made over 10 attempts to contact them, specifically Eric Bratcher, the owner's son, but nobody seems to care to call me back, respond to the messages I've left, or the emails and texts I sent.

After all of the power outages that happened over the summer due to bad weather, myself, my father, other family members, and several neighbors decided it was time to invest in a generator. In total, there were 8 of us that wanted to purchase a generator. We did our research, and decided we wanted to invest in the Kohler brand of generators. I went on Kohler's website and found Bratcher Electric was a direct dealer for Kohler. Bratcher not only sells Kohler generators, but they also install them and service them.

This is exactly what everyone wanted. I took it upon myself to be the spokesperson for the group assuming it would simplify things for us and for Bratcher. After calling their office multiple times, I made 8 separate appointments to get estimates for each of the 8 homes. The estimates were scheduled on several days through the month of October. All of the appointments were set with Eric Bratcher, who I later find out is the owner's son.

As the spokesman for the group, I took away from my time to meet Eric at 8 different homes. The appointments were grouped up on 3 different days, so I spent a good amount of time meeting Eric at each house on each of those days. At first impression, Eric seemed very knowledgeable, was a likable person, and seemed to represent his company very well.

I honestly liked Eric at first and everything he explained about Kohler generators and Bratcher Electric. I was gaining more trust and confidence in Eric and Bratcher Electric as each appointment passed. Unfortunately, here is the sad and disappointing part of this entire experience. It is now 4 months since all of the appointments were completed, and we still do not have any of the 8 generator installation estimates we have been waiting for.

I am a very easy going person, I am very polite, and I am very respectful and considerate of other business owners. As I mentioned before, I own my own business and I know business owners are experiencing challenging times right now, but there is absolutely no excuse for the bad treatment, poor communication, and lack of respect for the time I invested with this company.

I've been ignored and completely lied to for the last 4 months. Eric Bratcher should not be the face for the company that I'm sure took decades for his father to build. He is a disgrace and the lack of customer service and appreciation Bratcher Electric has shown towards 8 new potential customers makes it clear that they do not deserve our business.

I will be contacting Kohler directly to make them aware of how this dealer is representing their brand and the other 7 people in the group will be posting their own individual 1-Star negative review for Bratcher Electric. I'm sure our business will be appreciated elsewhere.

Called Family heating and electrical to have a portable generator transfer switch installed. Couldn't get an estimate for six weeks. Called Bratcher and had an estimate within two weeks. The service professional, clean and on time. Alex took the time to teach me how to use the switch. Very happy with Bratcher Electric.

Twice set up a quote for generator. no show both times. this also happened to a friend of mine. they did not even bother to call. Just nothing. Looks like they dont need my business and now they wont. I would not recommend them.

I would prefer not to give Bratcher any stars but it is required to post a review. Generator repair: I purchased my home with a home installed by Bratcher electrical: Since they installed I decided to have yearly maintenance on the generator done by them. With in 45 days of my second maintenance cycle I had a power outage and after the generator ran for about 2 hours and quit.

I called Bratcher and they responded a technician to review analyze the generator and correct the issue. The tech arrived reviewed the control panel and even though it was reporting under voltage fault he add less than a quarter court of oil. I ask why he needed to add oil since it was just maintenance 45 days ago and his answer was sometimes they burn oil and the oil switch triggers.

But he stated he did not see any areas where the oil was going. He restarted the generator and left without any additional remarks. Within 10 minutes after he departed the generator shut again and the fault was under voltage. I reached out to Bratcher and left a message and got no response, I called the next day and discuss the issue with Karen and she made more sense than their technician.

Now it august and once again I require generator power and the unit continues to fail, I've realized there is an issue in the house that causes the under voltage and have been slowly narrow the possibilities. Today a bill arrived for that service call where nothing was fixed and problems are still present, I'm disappointed they have gull to bill someone who is clearly not happy with their capabilities of fixing the equipment they installed.

So I decided to post a negative review and will be replacing this generator with a larger unit. Companies relish repeat business and this is one customer who will seek out another company for a replacement generator.

Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Reasonably priced, very clean and professional. Will definitely use Bratcher for any electric work I need in the future. Services: Earth wire installation, Socket or switch repair, Panel replacement or upgrade

Approximately 15 years ago I hired Bratcher electric to install a Briggs & Stratton gas generator at my house. They have performed routine annual maintenance and service ever since. They are professional, knowledgeable and courteous.

Happy. Happy. Happy. The front half of the lights and outlets on all floors went out. And the garage door opener is on the same circuit, and there is no other way into the garage. Resetting the breaker. buzzed to indicate a short-circuit. What could it be? I had changed nothing. Nothing. The power had not failed to provoke a sympathetic failure. Hmmmm?

I did a bit of trouble shooting myself; unplugging everything from the dark outlets to rule out an appliance internally shorting out. No joy. I checked each outlet and switch for signs of spark/arc'ing. Nope. I checked the working circuits to see if neutral had floated (a very dangerous condition that could easily lead to a fire). Nope. Time to call a professional. Karen was confident that they could arrive a bit after lunchtime. Caleb (journeyman) and Alex (apprentice) called to let me know they were enroute.

It took a few hours of trouble-shooting to find the short. It was a wire to a stairway light installed by the previous homeowner. Caleb knows his trade well, very well. He was also great teacher, insuring that Alex grasped a proper trouble-shooting methodology. A family owned business since 1956. I will certainly use them again.

Kudos to Bratcher Electric! My wife and I just had a Kohler Generator installed by the crew at Bratcher. Chris and his partner (I'm sorry-I missed his name) worked from morning to night. It was a big job, but they treated our house as it was theirs, making sure they didn't make a big mess. Much appreciated. We had three companies give us bids for the generator.

My wife felt the most comfortable with Mike Bratcher and his company. The owner came to our house to give us the bid himself. Personal service goes a long way today in our opinion. We highly recommend this company. David & Emily Jarrett

We have done business with Bratcher Electric since January 2016 at which time they took over the maintenance of our generator and that of my mother's. They have always provided polite, on-time, professional service, and we have always rated them a 5-star business. Last night (after business hours) they again proved their professionalism when my mother's power went out, and much to our surprise her generator did not go on.

The owner returned our call within 5-10 minutes and had a service person out within an hour. The culprit - a battery which tested fine at our six month performance check. Bratcher had my mother's generator up and running within 25 minutes of arriving. Bratcher has earned their 5 star rating!

I called everywhere looking for someone to help us during the selling of our house. We had outside electrical issues that needed to be solved ASAP. After calling and being told again and again by others they wouldn't touch my issues, I was referred to Bratcher Electric. It was that easy and everything was fixed quickly and professionally. I won't call anyone else from now on. They have a customer for life!

These professionals are well organized, kind, helpful and their pricing is fair. I had them do two jobs for me and am scheduling them for more electrical updates next week. I am very happy with their services and staff and I am sure you will be too.
