Family Electric

I don't trust these people, and their work is incomplete almost 60 days after they did the work. They estimated more than half a day when the work took about 45 minutes - overcharging me; and they will not talk to me about why the estimate was so much higher than reality. I raised two work related issues in multiple emails recently, and they will not respond to either issue.

Rather they hired a lawyer to collect the rest of their full charge - without fixing the hole in my ceiling, nor adjusting/replacing a dimmer that only dims to about half of the highest light output. Know the Terms/Conditions before the work starts, because they reference their website, which I could not find any information about Terms/Conditions. They will not send me the link to their Terms/Conditions. I will not be a repeat customer.

They came out so quickly to make sure there were no immediate safety issues. Wow. They cared. Thankful.

This was my first time using Family Electric, and I will call them again. They were responsive to my initial call for the problem and and worked with me to schedule around work. Family Electric has done several projects for us over the past few months on our foreclosed rebuild project. They communicate well and have a great bunch of electricians. When no one else would call me back, or was too busy to schedule me for service, Family Electric was responsive, and willing to fit me in. In fact, they called to say they could come out earlier than expected! The technician was professional and knowledgable, and fixed our faulty outlets quickly. We really appreciate the service and will use Family Electric again without hesitation!

I guess it is company policy to upcharge customers without notifying them before hand. I was charged for an optional item that I would've instructed them to leave off if I was notified prior to install. Service man never mentioned this to me once the job was done. I brought this up after receiving an invoice for $50 higher than original estimate, and was told the manager "will not budge". I will not support a company that conducts business this way.

Very responsive office staff and electricians were prompt, thorough, neat and talked with us to make sure we understood and would be happy with proposed project. Reasonably priced. I contacted this company to have a 50 amp outlet installed outside for RV hookup. They responded the same day. Appointment was made. The electrician was 10 minutes early and they cleaned up before they left. Highly Recommend this family owned company.

Called Family Electric to install a ceiling fan where there was no light fixture in our bedroom. From the very beginning Sarah was very nice and helpful in scheduling an appointment and the guys who showed up were on time, efficient, and great. The final cost came in at about half of what we were expecting so we were very happy and there was no mess left behind from their work. We will be using Family Electric from now on for all of our electrical needs!

Had this company for a kitchen remodel. After they left, there were dirty hand prints all over my new paint job. In addition, work that was not performed at my residence was added to the invoice. When purchasing lighting equipment, I was informed that a particular configuration was not possible but after my personal research I found it was not only possible, but widely used.

I had them install a whole house generator. They were courteous, professional, efficient & the best price i got out of 4 estimates. They started when scheduled & finished ahead of schedule. They followed up afterwards more than once to make sure all was ok & that I was satisfied. I STRONGLY recommend them.

These folks are great!- they gave me the best price of 4 different area electricians, and gave me other more economical options to consider without asking. They arrived on time; the staff were courteous, clean, and conscientious. They were quick to resolve any issues that came up and in a timely manner.
