Zack and Mike came out to help fix a problem with the outlets in my kitchen. They were fast, reliable and professional and even took the extra step to show me the issues and how they were going to fix it. The office team was extremely helpful is keeping me informed of where the team was and when they would be there and got me taken care of in 24 hours! Definitely recommend Joe Dickey Electric!

We lost power at our house at 9:00 on a Friday night. I can't say enough about the service they provided. Jason showed up prepared for whatever needed to be done. He was reassuring, knowledgeable and thorough. Turns out that the panel needed to be replaced, so he went out to the truck got what he needed and got it done. We contacted Joe Dickey Electric to fix a botched electric job completed by an Angi's List contractor. Contacting them after hours due to hearing a buzzing sound from an outlet, the response we received was immediate with an appointment scheduled for the next morning after shutting off the power to the outlets. Connor was extremely professional (and reassuring) on the phone.
When he and his apprentice arrived at our house they took off their shoes which was a gesture of respect we truly appreciated. Not surprisingly, the job they had to fix was indeed unsafe. Their work was superb and they fixed uncovered issues. While we are extremely pleased with the quality of workmanship, their personalities and professionalism were equally superb. They both were an excellent representative of their company and should be recognized as such. We would definitely recommend Joe Dickey Electric.

Lane and Michael came out to do an inspection in order to provide an estimate for any necessary repairs, replacements, etc. Very knowledgeable and easy to understand. Even went above and beyond to determine an issue I was having with my dryer and hot water tank tripping breakers. Thanks to Lane and Mike I now have a fully functionable dryer and hot water tank as well as a bit more sanity than I did this morning! Thank you so very much again and I look forward to future adventures assisting us in making our house a home!

Lain was very quick to respond to our urgent electrical problem and actually located the problem within minutes of arriving. Everything was fixed so quickly you could tell he was professional and that he knew what he was doing and showed and explained everything and he stopped the fire that would have occurred if he had not come as quickly as he did. Our nervousness was quickly turned to relief and we cannot thank him enough and we would hire him again in a split second if needed.

I ordered an electrical system inspection; to remedy no power, and no utilities company meter; post buying a house from our of state. The power had been off for 12+ months due to no renter occupancy. I was told to buy an inspection from a local electrician company by the utility company. I was told by Edison that all professional electrician companies would understand this process.
That once inspected, if approved of code, the electric company would re-install meter. Simple right? Joe Dickey was the most responsive company out of several in the area. However after a week and a half wait, the service technician pawned off the job to a brand new guy. I didn't have direct contact with my service technician. Just the original contact.
The receptionist acted completely spaced out over the course of several days, calling back again and again. The receptionist asked me for my email address at least three times. Which proves they aren't taking their customers seriously; or they don't have a modern computer data system. I waited for 8 business for a basic $69 inspection. And then I waited 4 more business days for any coherent response.
Which I had to push for by calling and texting every day. Once I finally get to pay (that's right, get to, as they didn't even send me an invoice until I pushed for it) I finally get a report. But it's not an inspection report like I asked for. It's just a short list of quotes on replacement of main fuse box and a few GFCI outlets with prices. No details.
So now I text the old service tech who doesn't even have the case. I ask him to check on the receptionist and manager. I ask him for the service tech who was at my houses number. And after all this, my service tech is suddenly off on some yearly Reserve Marines duty? What kind of company is this? In total it's been three weeks for an incompetent, and incomplete request.
This might be a good company in theory. But in this instance I have gotten nothing but delays, aloofness, switch-a-roos, and the run around. And I still haven't gotten a straight answer on what should have been a very basic request. I've rebuilt whole houses and shadowed top notch electricians in Seattle. I'm no yahoo. I know that a quick inspection like I requested could have been done in a half hour at the end of the first day I called, no problem at all. So, why it took two weeks of business days to write up a basic invoice of pricing is beyond my professional comprehension. That's why this business gets 1 star from me. I hope that explains it!

These folks are great! A tree broke on half and pulled the power line away from the house and they were out here in a few hours. We didn't lose power, but Ohio Edison has to shut the power off at the pole in order to fix it. But Dickey Electric has been great! I would call them again in a heartbeat!
