Bird Electric Corp was founded in 1973 by Rob Bird. After completing a 4 year apprenticeship then working as a journeyman and foreman for a large electrical contractor in Los Angeles, Rob and his wife decided to move their family to the Northwest and start an electrical contracting business. The company has been able to grow and thrive thanks to a strong business environment with help from fellow contractors and the general positive attitude of the people in the area.The goal then was to provide fast, efficient, and quality service and that goal remains today.

Had a ~$2,500 job to be done. Talked to Dillon when he was working next door. Seemed like a nice guy, looked at my job and said he would get back to me. Weeks later with no response caught Dillon next door working again. Dillon said he was too busy and passed me to Paul. A week later Paul came to my house to give me an estimate. He said give him 2 weeks for estimate.
Three weeks later with no response I went to the Bird office in Poulsbo. Paul was in the office and said he would get me my estimate first thing. I waited 3 weeks before I gave up and got somebody else for the job. I wasted two months and never got the estimate. Save time/ save grief. find somebody else.

Our well pump stopped working and the control panel for the pump motor was showing an electrical fault. Matt from Bird was here in short order, diagnosed the issue, deployed a fix and we were all on our way in no time. This was all done under the quarantine of COVID-19 so Bird's willingness to stay available for essential electrical issues like water and heat is much, much more than appreciated. Thank you Matt! Loved these folks! Don came out and successfully troubleshot a long list of problems we found when we moved into this house a few months back. The we had a problem with a circuit, had no electricity for a night, and they sent out two guys first thing in the morning. They fixed the problem immediately. We are very pleased with this company and now consider the company to be our regular go-to place when we have problems with our electricity. Do not hesitate to call them! Excellent work.

This company does incredible work. The owner is extremely nice and came out to do the bid himself. We had the work done on our business last year. I have had no problems with anything in our new build out. We gutted everything on this comercial building and started from scratch. New everything. Anytime we wanted to change something they were very responsive.
We were stuck on a timeframe to finish by a certain date. They had no problem hitting that. More than happy with the service I was provided by this company. I will be using them again in the future.

Quick response with excellent electricians! Once we called requesting emergency assistance Jerry had a team down here within the hour! They were able to place our system into a safe condition until extensive troubleshooting could be completed the next day. First thing in the morning the same electricians showed up and found the fault within the first 30 minutes they were here. In less than an hour we were back up and running! Let me tell you something about Bird Electricians, I had to have all the knob and tube removed and upgrade all the electric in the house. We had three estimates and the Bird salesman took his time in explaining and educating us on removing and re-wiring along with updated an old fuse box making it totally up to code. When he left our house I knew we were going with them.
It was a week long process and everyday they showed up on time and ready to go with a game plan letting us know so we weren't wondering. Everyday they left our house livable and clean. These guys busted their asses in a 100 degree attic space along with working with our old plaster and lathe walls and ceilings without damaging any of them. In totality I would recommend Bird Electric. If you need electric work done in your home go with a knowledgeable hard working team go with Bird Electric.

I ordered a new range/double oven and the store messed up the delivery date so we picked it up on the 3rd of July. It needed to be hard wired for the 220 outlet and I was very concerned I would not find anyone available to do the job on an afternoon before a major holiday. Bird Electric came to our rescue! Dillon was at our door at 4:00PM and was done in well under an hour just in time for my out of town guests to arrive! I am so pleased with their excellent customer service and the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend them.

I am so impressed with this company. We had what I was afraid was an emergency and after calling several electric companies and either getting a recording or was told it would be at least two weeks before we could get help, Bird Electric came to the rescue. They were at our house within an hour. The electrician was on his way to another job and took the time to stop and help us.
He replaced two burned out outlets in just minutes and was on his way. Everything was so friendly and well done. I will be calling them to make an appointment to come back and replace all of our old outlets and check for other problems.

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST! And still the worst! My husband and daughter were rear ended by a Bird Electric van on Bond Rd. That is not the bad part! They were at a dead stop with 6 vehicles in front of them that were also at a stop. As you will see from the pictures the Bird Electric van had quite a bit of damage. Please keep in mind, that a motorcyclist was in front of my husband and daughter, the impact was so strong that it was pushing our full sized Ford F250 so much that my husband had to steer the vehicle to the shoulder in order to prevent hitting the motorcycle.
He was understandable upset and asked what the guy was doing? This is where it gets worse (if possible), the Bird Electric van driver started swearing and got within a inch of my husband's face. He finally calmed down just to be egged on by his "passenger"- middle aged lady wearing skin tight leggings/animal patterned jacket/blue eye shadow. Started swearing and yelling at my 80 lb. daughter after someone asked if they were texting.
Which the "guy" tried to convince them there were no phones in the van, but then produced two phones to take pictures (hmmm, bad liar!) The WORST is the owner "Jerry's" reaction to hearing all of this. His exact response was, well that's unfortunate, I'll have to talk to him. When I said I was surprised by his reaction, he said well what do you want me to say?
Something along the terms of. Is your family ok? That is not acceptable behavior from any of my employees. What can we do on our end? Would all have been reasonable and responsible things to say. I gave him a additional 4 days to come up with anything decent to say and have heard nothing, nor can I get a response from his insurance company because of damage to our vehicle.
So I'm letting people know what the owner and his workers with van's are like. I can't imagine what his response would be if someone messed up wiring a house. Gee that's unfortunate but I don't really care and won't do a damn thing to make it right. Probably is a realistic response. I have worked with and am friends with other business owners and they are appalled by this.
Don't use them unless you don't care if they stand by their work! PS- The office ladies are good! Too bad they don't run the show for Jerry and his cronies! Would be a much better business! Yes. Twice this year Matt at Bird Electric responded quickly to an emergency situation at my rental house in Suquamish. The first time the mast and meter was pulled off the house by a fallen branch. Matt was on site early the same morning, assessed the damage without drama and had two men working on the repairs before noon. Awesome! The second time a tree had fallen across the power lines and PSE's transformer fell off the pole sending a power surge down the line that destroyed all of the home's appliances, the GFIC's and many of the LED lights. Again, Matt quickly assessed the situation, reassured my tenant that there was nothing wrong with the home's electrical system, made recommendations to improve and protect, then sent a very competent and professional electrician (Kevin) to make the necessary repairs and improvements. Unheard of customer service in today's world! Many thanks to Bird Electric, Matt and Kevin!

I called to ask for costs to do a simple 240 volt outlet install. Receptionist was rude. She gave the me hourly rate. When I asked how long it typically takes to perform the job she state "I have no idea. I am not an electrician". Didn't offer to provide an estimate or anything and had an attitude. I decided at that time I would do my business elsewhere. I don't need the attitude.

As far as service goes i have no clue but one of their drivers purposely tried to hit my car. Ive called their business and have gotten no response. Their driver would not let me in while sitting in traffic and when i did try to get over he sped up and tried to hit my car to stop me. To me this says alot about their customer service. We then later where sitting at the same place waiting so all of that disrespect and disregard for my infant sitting in the back seat for nothing. Will never be using their services! Good luck to those who do.

Bird Electric did some work for me. The owner seems pleasant, the workers were fine. I paid them a lot of $$ to re-wire my building. They did a good job. Silly me, I had issues with some of the lights outside, and I couldn't figure it out. I called them and they sent someone over and found that it was only a light switch that needed to be flipped on. They charged me $89.00 to do that- really? Seriously? For 2 minutes of work?
