Palmer Electric

I had a great experience with Palmer Electric. I had to have my main circuit breaker and meter base replaced. I opted for a few other things to upgrade my service and add generator hookups. The original call was handled in a day (as well he tightened up a few things to ensure we wouldn't have problems before the work could be done). I received a written estimate in a day.

When I approved the work and put down a deposit, the work and ALL associated work (permitting, scheduling with Duke for power down and restore) were scheduled within a few weeks which is impressive considering the coordination required. I did have lots of questions about all of this and did call the office a few times between scheduling and the work to ask questions.

The staff was always more than happy to talk to me and explain how things would happen. As well, I requested a few changes to the original quote and these changes were added without issue. The quote was very reasonable for the time and materials that were required to do the work. I did get another quote from another local electrician I had used previously and the were within 100 of each other.

I just got a MUCH better vibe from EVERYONE at Palmer that I had contact with. They all seemed very happy and more than willing to work with me. The day of the work, they showed up at exactly the time they said they would. Ed was a pleasure to work with, he got the work done very promptly and the result is very professional looking. It was refreshing to see them interact with other companies (Duke and the City permitting) so professionally and cordially. I will be using Palmer for any of my electrical needs in the future.

I love this company. They are reasonable on there rates and show up and do their job. There knowledge of old houses and electrical is fantastic. Sometimes older homes are a challenge because they have not been up graded. These people know their stuff, you can depend on them to get it done right! Lisa Bowden

Palmer's have done great work for us over the last five years. They've really saved us from catching fire too. When you buy a home and have an inspection, they dont let you know that the attic is full of wires that arent in their proper boxes and things or how clearly some clueless handyperson had "updated" electrics previously and in fact created a potential hazard. Always call an electrician when you move into a place (call two in my opinion). Palmer's electricians are good, honest people. I recommend asking for Robert.

What a great experience with Palmer Electric. I had an issue with my doorbell. The doorbell got stuck and ended up causing the chime box to overheat. (This produced a loud buzz and awful smell). I felt very uncomfortable (read: unsafe). Wil was amazing! Prior to his arrival, he discussed the issue with me on the phone. He identified the issue right away and replaced the parts as needed. Wil was very thorough in explaining the exact cause and steps needed to fix the situation. In addition, he answered MANY electrical questions I asked that were unrelated to this problem. Wil was an outstanding hard worker and we greatly appreciate his work! Multiple outlet replacements, installed gfi's and went on a wild wire hunt to find hot wires in our house. He solved the mystery! Him and his helper rewired our kitchen outlets and instead of cutting walls inside they were able to connect them both through my back yard wall and make their own connection! Wil even experienced a dead rodent in our attic( gross) without hesitation and continued his job!

After fixing everything inside he discovered a outlet to the exterior that had been covered up by stucco. What a surprise! So he fixed 2 hot wires in my house we were unaware of! And gave us an extra outlet out front! He cleaned up his mess then even went on our roof and ensured our Christmas lights were working and discovered we had staple through one of the wires. He went above and beyond to make our family happy this holiday season and we greatly recommend his services!

We had a residential electrical issue and Palmer was able to send a technician out the next day. They came on time, worked fast to remedy the problem, and were very professional. I will definitely use their services if we ever have more electrical needs.

Alonso and Daman the electricians came out to replace our old FP boxes this week which was an all day job. They were professional and caring to make sure everything was done in a day. They answered any questions we had and were just really nice guys. Sandy and Josh in the main office were responsive to any questions I had and helpful as well. PE coordinated with Duke Energy and Code enforcement which went smoothly. The whole process went well from a total team work aspect at PE. Also, PE bid was the best out of 6 companies. Thank you!

Hired Palmer Electric to replace 2 old Square D Trilliant panels with updated ones. The price was reasonable. The estimator was professional and the work was performed in a timely manner.

Will was outstanding! In 8/2021, he fixed our bathroom exhaust fans, and given his experience and expertise, he got the old units to work, saving us a new replacement purchase. Super helpful and prompt!

We were having power issues with an area of outlets in the kitchen. My problem was diagnosed with another company and was told the main breaker needed to be replaced. That company was unable to complete the work order the same day as guaranteed so I opted for a full refund. Blessing in disguise really. I reached out to Palmer who with a full schedule still came to see. Turns out the lugs for the breaker needed tightening and no replacement was needed. Save me hundreds of dollars. Unfortunately integrity is dying with these sort of services. Not the case with Palmer. You folks are awesome!

Working with Palmer Electric was fantastic. They were professional and did the job quickly. I thought their rates were reasonable, and the job was completed faster than I'd expected, which saved me money. Ignacio was very polite and answered all questions and concerns I had. I wanted to thank Palmer for all their help. Over the 7 months it took to complete my job all due to Winter Park Utilities, Josh was on top of everything from start to finish and always giving me updates without me even asking to. As mentioned, this was over 7 months and he kept me updated through email so I always was aware of what was going on and had no issues with any questions I ever had.

I told him I feel like I'm losing a family member now that the project is done because we have been talking for so many months. I wanted to thank Fred for his professionalism and being very helpful the day he did my job with undergrounding and answering any questions I had the day everything was completed. Palmer has two special individuals that they should be proud of who exude exactly what a customers experience should be.

I met with their commercial supervisor Domingo for an estimate on a Friday March26, 2 Friday's ago. he promised to get back to me by the following Wednesday with an estimate/quote on the work. I called and followed up 2 days after that Wednesday and was told by the office lady all she can do is email him about it. Here we are now April9, 2 weeks after our initial meeting and still NOTHING.

It's sad, I was about to replace my service panel which was told could cost upwards of $8k and I was ready. I can only imagine how the work would've been if they started and disappeared the same way. We've had problems and problems with electricians in our journeys so called Palmer as they've been around 70 years. I'm pretty sure 70 years ago I wouldn't have waited 2 weeks for a quote and even after following up get nothing. Mind you, I even texted Domingo's iPhone 3x with zero replies. If anyone sees this and has recommendations elsewhere, please do share.
