R.K. BASS electric faced a great demand for whole house generators after last year's Texas freeze. The supplier was having issues with getting the generator out to the installer's, which caused an issue with getting the installation to the consumer. Once the Generators came in, it took several weeks for the electrical installers to run the connects (4 months).
The electrical part was completed and then there was another 3 weeks wait on the gas connection. Now I have been waiting 3.5 weeks for an inspector to inspect the gas line so the gas connection can be completed. I feel as if I am being purposely ignored by this company and all I did was request service. It's been 9 months and my project is still not complete.

My husband and I have an old lake house that we wanted to have rewired or upgraded. We contacted RK Bass to get an estimate for the job in mid July. A young man came on July 20 and did a walk through of the house, looked up in attic and told us about several options. He stated he would prepare an estimate with three options and get back to us in a week or so.
After two weeks I called the company to make sure they had the correct email because we had not gotten any estimate, or had any communication from them. A nice young woman took our e-mail address to pass it on. It is August 23 and to this day we have never heard one word. If they were not interested in the job, why couldn't they just say that up front? They could call, text, e-mail. What happened to customer service or even common courtesy? We have contacted another electric company. We suggest others do the same.

Second time using this business. Both times they were professional and courteous. Worked fast and worked hard. Very kind crews. There is a minimum service charge but they will work hard the entire two hour minimum. If you have enough work for them- you will get your money's worth. Services: Electrical outlet & switch installation, Outdoor lighting installation, General repairs, Installation

Batman has nothing on the electricians at R.K.Bass! Kevin and his assistant "J" are the new Batman and Robin for Central Texas. They are professional, prompt, prepared and can tackle any challenging project a homeowner may think is a nightmare to handle. You are going to to get high quality when you call these guys to take care of your electrical needs. :- Being a superhero is tough, especially if you don't have powers. So, they rely heavily on their utility belts and intellect. In a time of national disaster, I'm glad they are here. Thanks again guys!

The guys who came were kind and helpful, but I had called a few weeks earlier into the office to schedule a residential appointment and they didn't have an opening for a few weeks out. I really wanted to use the company so I made an appointment and waited. The office lady made a note to call in the day before to confirm the appointment.they called the day of to confirm 15 minutes before they were scheduled to be there.
I was fine with that. Then they called 15 minutes after their scheduled arrival time to confirm my address, but they were still at their office. They got here 22 minutes after they were scheduled to be here. Many of my issues ended up being easy fixes and then I had some other work I wanted done, but they suggested I use an estimator first. I wish the office lady would have suggested that so I didn't waste their time or my money.
I thought the lady had said they are paid per hour and they collect the day of. Then the electrician collected for two hours work when they had only done just about one hours work. They said the time starts from when they leave their office. Also, they didn't cover their boots when entering my house multiple times, and they let the ladder hit my wall and chip off paint.
I was forgiving of those things. I feel like my trust was broken with this company, which is upsetting since I did feel the electricians were kind and helpful. I would suggest working on communication at the office with the customer and between workers and being upfront about charges. Also, respecting people's property by wearing booties inside houses.

My faith in R K Bass Electric is being restored due to the efforts of two exemplary employees, Jason D. & Dovious B. I contacted the Manager on 11/5, at the suggestion of another company employee who discovered a problem he felt was related to the Generac installation. He was quick to respond & had Jason & Dovious there within two days. Jason was very professional & assured me he was there to take care of the problem.
Once I explained the situation, he was very thorough in checking the faulty area for cause & solution. In no time he had found the cause & repaired the problem. He not only told me it was repaired but physically showed me step by step what he found & how he fixed the problem. I really appreciate that because, being a widow, I like to feel confident that repairs being done are valid.
He also pointed out an electrical hazard with my water heater & offered a solution. For the sake of safety I told him I would call in to set up an appointment for him to return & fix the problem. He & Dovious returned today, 11/12, & did a great job. Thanks to these two awesome electricians my perception of R K Bass Electric has changed. I now feel they do care to provide service to us small folks as they do to big job accounts. Thank you Jason & Dovious for making this senior customer feel valued & secure in her home.

I've never seen an electrician push wiring through the Sheetrock and leave the wire showing. Shouldn't that wiring be in the attic ore behind the Sheetrock? If they are doing substandard work like this that you can see what are they doing that you cannot see. Thank God I wasn't the one that paid them.

Mike and Jason arrived EARLY (which never happens in the service industry from my experience). They identified all my concerns and had them corrected in a very timely manner. They were very professional and friendly. They also gave me cost effective suggestions on some other projects I had them evaluate. I HIGHLY recommend their service and I will most definitely be using them again in the near future.

These guys are the best! I was hesitant about having to get an electrician because of all the horror stories of pricing. RK Bass technicians came in I told them the problem we were having and within the hour they had completed all three repairs. So now I can put my fears to rest about contacting electricians Thank you, Jason and Jesus!

Extremely professional and competent. We placed a residential service call and within a couple hours that same day an electrical team was at our door and on time. They were very clean and courteous in working in our home and the billing was clear and reasonable. The electrical issue was resolved with no further issues. I would give RK Bass Electric my highest recommendation.

Called for a quote on electrical work, they took my name & # and never called back. Guess they don't need my business. Funny cause the first thing you learn in business school is that every lead is a sale and in today's economy you need every sale no matter how small. Could have been $8k worth of work. That's the problem here in Killeen, is that all these local businesses have a sense of intitlement. That's why they need to be taken over or be put out of business.
