Fountain Services, LLC was established in 1946 by Woodrow Pollard Fountain. During World War II, Woodrow Fountain built switchboards and installed electrical systems on emergency ships to transport troops. At the end of the war, Woodrow Fountain moved to Rutherford County, NC, and started Fountain Electric Services.
It's no accident to be successful in business for 70 years. Highly recommend Fountain Electric & Services. After several months of reaching out to local independent electricians with either no response or no interest in helping us solve our problem, Fountain was able to get us scheduled within two days of calling them. They were timely, professional and were able to install our new ceiling fan and resolve our wiring issues at our short term rental property. Will 100% use them again if the need arises!

Had a technician come out and check out panel box. The tech was very nice. He called his boss and got us a estimate (which was 1,200) and said the lady would call Monday so we can order parts. All this happened on 4/29/22 (Friday) so we waited til 5/2/22 (Monday) to receive a call from the lady who order parts. It is now 5/4/22 and still no call back!
It has been WELL OVER 80 degrees this weekend and they have not made their customers a #1 priority! Thank God for a FAMILY FRIEND who came and fixed our problem/concern and paid way less than what the estimate given.

I don't typically leave reviews if they're not 5 stars, but this experience with Fountain Electric was so negative that I felt it imperative to leave a review. I have never been so disrespected as a customer as I was by Tom. We had an installation scheduled for today. Yesterday, we contacted Tom, our contact with Fountain, via email with pictures of the installation site to ask if it would change anything in the quote to move the site to the other side of the wall.
He responded with a clarification question but never answered one way or another. He was on a job site, as we expected he may be, but never got back to us by close of business. Fast forward to today, we were fully expecting to have the installation done. We never received any phone calls from the company. Our schedules were cleared in order to be present for the installation.
Upon pulling up the email account, we see that Tom has taken it upon himself to cancel the installation (via email at 4:43 AM). I believe this was a misunderstanding that we wanted to redo the quote, rather than receive a yes or no answer to a question. I called to discuss and express that we did not wish for the quote to be redone, but would like to move forward with the installation. Tom had already rescheduled his workers for other jobs without ever requesting confirmation that, that was our wish.
He was unapologetic, rude, dismissive, and spoke over me, increasing his volume as he continued to express that if I had only seen his email, none of this would have happened. I was simply looking for acknowledgement of the miscommunication. It's not that difficult to listen to a customer's concern and express understanding. Blaming the customer is bad business. Tom should have called to discuss this change at the start of the day.
I could have understood the miscommunication but will not accept treatment of this sort from a company that I am paying. Tom canceled the job rather than bothering to acknowledge the situation.saved me the trouble. Stay far away. This company will never receive my business or recommendation again.

Very prompt, professional and friendly. Best, fastest and hard working crew I have ever seen. They replaced my hot water heater in no time and went above and beyond. Everyone I spoke and worked with from the office to the crew, was so nice and very fast in responding and getting the job done within hours of calling. Couldn't be happier.

I am pleased to compliment the team at Fountain Electric for the excellent service they provided in wiring my new 36 by 45 foot garage/worksop. From the organizational, communications and scheduling skills of Tina in the office and the fair and thorough estimating and directing skills of Tom overseeing the the technicians, ; Grier, Dylan, Jake and Bob, the work was done professionally, neatly and with care.
I was extremely impressed that unlike many contractors, they came when they said would. If there was a delay or a change Tina always called and notified me. I was also pleased that at the end of each work day, Dylan and Grier took the time to clean up and organize their supplies and waste before they left. The technicians also went to great lengths to do the exposed wiring in a neat and organized way that reflected their desire to do the job well and go above and beyond my expectations. I will certainly use Fountain Electric again in the future and recommend them highly!

Rutherford County is lucky to have a company like Fountain Electric. They recently did some work for us and were both professional and knowledgeable. I've used Fountain Services for many years both for residential & commercial services. Their employees are extremely professional and reliable on getting the job done correctly the first time! In addition, they invest back in the community through sponsorship's and donations. We are extremely lucky to have an employer who cares about the community and it's employees!
