I was informed that my FPL on call box needed maintenance. I scheduled for a technician to come by between 10am and 12pm on Monday, only to find out they had erroneously put me down for a 12-2pm time slot that did not work for my schedule. We rescheduled for between 9am and 11am a few days later on Thursday. At 10:45, I called to see what was going on as no technician had arrived/called yet.
I was told that "somebody was supposed to call you and let you know the technician can't make it, so we're just going to come do it on Tuesday since you don't have to be home for the maintenance." Firstly, no one called me to inform me the maintenance had been cancelled, and this is now four hours of my time that I have wasted waiting for no reason. Horrible communication.
And now, if it doesn't matter if I'm home or not in the first place, why have me sit around and wait for a technician this whole time? Definitely disappointed in the communication and organization of this company.

HORRIBLE! I was contacted by them to service my on call box for FPL. The contractor shows up, doesn't introduce himself or show any ID. Tells me what a bad day he's had, wont go in my home to look for the current box and says he's just going to install one but "it's getting dark". When I question why he is doing that he begins to yell at me. He left without finishing the work and no call back from the supervisor. As a customer I was just trying to understand what he was doing and he was completely disrespectful!

I needed a new electrical panel inside the garage and outside by the meter. Langer electric had me take pictures of my current situation and had me email them so they could give me an estimate to replace both panels. They had a price within a day and even came out to make sure the estimate was spot on. I had 5 other companies come out and I went with Langer electric because the price was fair and customer service was excellent. Dana who I spoke with several times is very educated and always gets back to you.
The electrician they sent out named Kevin was on time every day and always worked his tail off (rain or shine). Kevin is dedicated to his profession and does really good work. This review is for the integrity of their Ft. Myers employee. I had signed up with FP&L for the On Demand Service interrupter. When Jeff arrived on schedule, he reviewed my equipment; and, advised me that there might be a compatibility issue with my a/c evaporator and air handler. He explained that the equipment would interrupt the service as it should; but, because I had a newer wifi thermostat, I might see messages calling for service to the a/c, when there was no issue. If we could give a zero star, it would go to Langer electric. Had 3 appointments to set up our FPL on call. First appointment, we were told technician had to re-schedule because he had a heart attack! Then, second try, had appointment set for 2-5pm.no call, no email no notification that they would be late.at 7:00 pm we get a call from technician Chris stating that he was running 2 hours late.we told him we would still let him in. 7:10 he shows up, gets to our gate, pushes the call button, we open gate, he backs up and drives off! (we later found out he left because it was starting to rain).No call until next day to apologize and reschedule.
Come Dec 26, Chris comes out and tells us that our A/Cs arent wired fully water proof so he cant install the On Call System as intended. Complete waste of time, money and effort. Beware.irresponsible, unprofessional, disappointment of a firm that calls themselves professionals!

I scheduled an appointment with Langer who is associated with FPL's "on call" program. My appointment was between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. I did not receive a confirmation call or email the day before the scheduled appointment. I called them at 9:30 a.m. and was told that Rob was on his way. Rob showed up on time and was very nice. He finished the job quickly and had me sign documents including a document with boiler plate language stating, "I have examined the premises and work performed by the technician of Langer Electric Co., and found everything in working order and no damage to my premises or appliances." I should note that Rob did run a wire from my AC unit to the FPL device.
Roughly 5 minutes after Rob left, upon entering my bedroom, I realized it was unusually warm. I checked my thermostat and it read 80 degrees. I immediately telephoned Langer and told them about the problem. Their first response was that they would call Rob and have him return to my home. Twenty minutes later I called back and was told that Rob would call me on my phone.
Thirty minutes later, after not having received a call from Rob, I called Langer again. I waited over an hour and I did not receive a call from Rob and he did not return to my home. The true test of a reputable company is how they handle matters when things go wrong. This Company failed. I ended up calling my AC company and they made some suggestions to me including checking the circuit breakers and turning off the AC unit for 15-30 minutes to allow it to "reset." After turning of the AC unit for 30 minutes, it returned to blowing cold air. The bottom line is Langer's customer service was poor.

I received a call from their office stating that my FPL on call box wasnt working i was skeptical at first since i never ordered anything but after i called the 1800 number for FPL which was on my bill they informed me not to allow anyone out, but the lady was so informative at the office i called back and she very kindly asked me to call the direct number for the department which i did bc i did see a credit i was receiving monthly and never knew why. after calling the number she supplied me they did confirm Langer Electric being a sub contractor. Frustrating FPL reps dont know their own programs. but had the tech come out super quick and painless!

Excellent service from an extremely competent electrician named Rick; very poor scheduling from Heather inside the office. Was supposed to have an install around 1:00pm and took a day off work in order to be home for the electrician who arrived at 6:30pm. Could have gone to work and met him afterward; instead I lost a day's pay due to terrible scheduling and no professional courtesy discount was offered.
