I concur with all of the prior reviews which gave them zero stars as they were right on point. I contacted the owner "Frank" to inquire about the installation of a ceiling fan. He was unexpectedly rude and disrespectful. When I informed him that the installation was going to be conducted in the home of a severely immuno-compromised, disabled individual requiring a fully vaccinated, licensed electrician, he accused me of wasting his time! Furthermore, he curtly informed me that he was too busy to take on this job and was clearly uninterested in discussing it further. I strongly recommend that you stay away from this company and find someone with some human empathy that is actually looking for new work.

I'd give Blaze 10 stars if I could. Frank was affable on the phone, and followed through immediately. His workers arrived on time, possibly a FIRST in my 40 years as the owner of a brownstone in constant need of repair. The job was done in half the time, and for half the charge compared to other bids I received. I cannot recommend Blaze highly enough!

For some reason the lights in 2 adjacent rooms started flickering and then kept going on and off. Also 2 outlets in one of the rooms stopped working completely. David and his partner figured out the problem and rectified it in a timely manner. He answered all my questions and took the time to tighten an outlet in the kitchen that was very loose every time I would pull a plug out. So polite, friendly and professional. Thank you David and Blaze Electric.

TL;DR: unprofessional, rude electricians evidently unqualified to handle modern technology. I contacted Blaze Electric to request a quote for work required to install Wifi-enabled so-called "smart" dimmers. Specifically, I asked them how much it would cost to run a neutral wire to a light switch electrical box. The technician who returned my call was grumpy, rude, and unprofessional ("who told you you need that?").
When I told him that I needed a neutral wire in order to install a smart dimmer, he told me he wasn't interested in helping with that and hung up without giving me the chance to say anything further.

I use Blaze Electric whenever possible. They are reasonable in pricing - professional - efficient. They keep you updated on the work, and they are quick. The office also sends you updates in regard to permits Etc. From working with Frank, and having a great experience. I believe explanation for the 1 star reviews must be from competitors. Trying to obtain business from reputable companies.

Do not work with Blaze. Find another electrician, I promise you'll regret working with these folks. I hired them to do over $4,000 worth of electrical work and the results were sloppy -- not to mention their business is unprofessional. Amongst many issues including a circuit breaker that is not flush against the wall, I had a ceiling fan/light installed in my living room.
After about a year the fan/light working fine, the light started to shut off automatically. I called Blaze to fix the issue and instead of offering his service he said "this is not my problem" and hung up the phone on me. These guys take no pride in their work and no ownership of their mistakes. Good luck with your electrical work and don't work with these guys.

Highly professional, reasonably priced, high quality work by honest, experienced electricians. For me, they swapped out our fuse box for a circuit breaker, converted a 220 V outlet to a 110 V, added three circuits with outlets, installed a light box and overhead lighting fixture, and moved another for us. All of this was done in 2 1/2 days with no complications.
A dear friend of mine used them and noted that the work he needed done was done more cheaply than he thought would be needed and he is knowledgable about electrical work. He recommended them to me based on their honesty and good work. This firm is well deserving of your consideration.

The guys from Blaze electric came within hours of me reaching out about a shed I was building in my backyard. My wife is pregnant so I had to clear out my office for the babyroom, so I went ahead and built a shed in the backyard to make my office. I needed to run power to the shed and initially I thought I'd take a shortcut and just run an extension.
But the outside outlet also powers my bedroom and if I would run an AC in there it could be problematic. So I decided to reach out to an electrician to get a second opinion. The guys from Blaze Electric came and instantly started working out some possible solutions. They gave me two different approaches and were very reasonable with my needs and budget.
They came the following day to install, unfortunately I could not be there due to work, but when I returned my wife expressed how kind and considerate the workers were, they came and installed the line from my main panel and ran it through our closet, through our bedroom and out into our backyard out along my fence and into my shed. They did a great job and only broke holes in the wall where they needed to, to get the line through. I was very pleased with their work! I will definitely be using Blaze Electric in the future and would recommend to any friend or family member. Thank you Blaze Electric!

Response time was good. Service was good. One major problem: The outlet they needed to access was behind the dryer, which they had to move. I could not move it by myself (it's a 2-person job - just lift the small dryer and move it aside to access the electrical box). Before they moved it, they advised it would cost $75 to take it down and put it back (as moving things was not in their contract).
I understand it's not in the contract, but this seems like highway robbery. They got more money because I didn't want to deal with fighting it, but a reputable business would have not charged this amount. Like everyone else, I work for a living. I'm in the military and have a baby on the way. We need money and BLAZE Electric thought it was worth taking $75 from me to move a dryer and put it back.
The whole thing took 10 seconds. Seems like a poor way to run the business. I should add, this was not the technicians' decision - this came from the main office (as I overheard them on the phone with their boss). Again, the service was good otherwise. I just think they take advantage of the situation in a dishonorable way. For this, the management at Blaze should be ashamed.

Electric off in two rooms, found problem right away - faulty outlet, actually caught on fire while he was here, taken care of, replaced and has been working great ever since. Was impressed that they made sure it was just the outlet and not further into the wall - like wiring - which would have been a bigger job. Very honest and respectful people.

These three stars are a happy medium between the one star the owner (Frank) should get and the five stars the guys who do the work should get. The guys who swapped out the transformers in my ceiling fixture were prompt, efficient, professional and very friendly. Lovely work. The owner, on the other hand: * Forgot to write down my appointment, so it didn't get booked; I had to call in half an hour after the appointment to inquire where he was. * Aggressive and abrupt on the phone * Talked over me to the extent that I could barely ask the questions I needed answered, responded to questions with hostility * Did not give me an estimate (I didn't ask, as I had had identical work done by another company earlier in the year - more fool me for not asking, but he did not give me any information, which most companies do for your first visit.) So if you're going to use them, expect excellent work and nice service from the office staff, and try to avoid any interaction with Frank if you can. AND ASK FOR AN ESTIMATE.

We had Fred from Blaze Electric over at our daughter's apartment in Harlem last week. We had asked that he fix a light switch that was faulty. He arrived punctually. Set about his work methodically and neatly. He quickly had the switch fixed and cleaned up after himself. His rates were extremely reasonable. I had a problem with a circuit of electrical outlets. I called and had scheduled an electrician for that very afternoon. They even came early. It turned out that a neutral wire inside the circuit breaker had blown. A half an hour from their arrival everything was fixed and they were gone. I thought the bill was reasonable for the work provided I would definitely call them again.

Horrifying customer service from the owner FRANK CAPORALE. He did a large job for us a year ago that went seamlessly- great work, decent price, overall good experience. I called back to ask if he was interested in more work, and he tore me apart on the phone. Not entirely sure what was so offensive about my inquiry that he felt the need to disrespect a previous client over the phone.
He said things like "IF THIS INSTALLATION IS SUCH A PRIORITY TO YOU, YOU SHOULD CALL SOMEONE ELSE BECAUSE IM UNAVAILABLE." Don't use Blaze Electric's service unless you want to deal with a self entitled asshole who hates business.
