Jaffe Electric replaced the wired and non-wired smoke/carbon monoxide detectors throughout our home. Royce the Electrician was highly-skilled, professional, and friendly. He worked efficiently and shared his knowledge and recommendations to ensure the work was completed according to our needs. We would not hesitate to call Jaffe Electric for future service.

Jaffe has done numerous repairs and installations on my horse farm. They have saved the day a couple of times when I had electric emergencies in the barn. I remain grateful and will never use any other electrician. Two young men arrived, Antonio and Kevin, and they were careful not to drag snow/mud into the house by wearing shoe coverings. They were quick and efficient. Jaffe Electric, inc installed a fan in our attic. I want to express my gratitude to John and Brian for work well-done. They worked quickly and efficiently, with an understanding of what they were doing. After work, they explained and showed the work done. There was good and honest contact with the owner. I called and was able to schedule an appointment the next day. Antonio came out and checked a connection and replaced a disk light. He was very nice and professional. I was relieved when he told me the charge! I felt it was very fair.

Very professional operation. We had a minor emergency and I called on a Monday morning at 7:45 hoping to leave a message. I was surprised that a live person got on and when I asked if he could get someone out to my house he said he could today between 10 and noon. Two gentlemen came, at the appointed time; Antonio and Eddie. They could not have been nicer or more professional.

They quickly found the problem fixed that and adjusted a couple of additional outlets just because they needed it, (not that I had to even ask them to). All is back in working order, Quick, easy and painless.other than having to write a check but I guess there's no way around that.:) I highly recommend.

I called Jaffe electric on the recommendation of my HVAC company to do work related to an HVAC install. My apartment is in downtown DC, as is readily apparent from my address. They cancelled the first appointment to come out to give an estimate due to protest traffic and rescheduled for 2 WEEKS LATER. On the day of the second appointment, they called from the alley and asked if the building had dedicated parking.

When they were told it does not, they said they would be unable to do the job. Thank you for wasting 2+ weeks of my time. Guys, here's a recommendation: if you don't want to work in DC, don't advertise it as your service area.

Jaffe Electric is a no nonsense company. We wanted to install an attic fan for our house. Every electrician or roof company we called, they wanted to come first to give a quote. Jaffe Electric did not need any of that. They gave me a standard quote of when I called, which was the cheapest among all the other quotes I have received. To be honest, I was concerned with how cheap it was.

I set up the appointment regardless. They came as scheduled, installed the attic fan with no hassle whatsoever. The attic fan works like a charm. We were very pleased with the work product. They cleaned up their work too! I am glad there are still honest electrician out there! Bravo, Jaffe Electric. Keep it up!

We had a problem with our generator. Tony and Mark from Jaffe Electric were very methodical in finding out what went wrong and fixing the problem. It was the same experience we had a few years ago when Fred and his Jaffe Electric team installed the lighting system in our Chevy Chase house. The website claims superior service by qualified knowledgeable electricians, and this is precisely what one gets: work and service by top professionals, starting with the owner, Steve Jaffe.

Great experience. We needed our smoke detectors to be replaced and finally decided to call someone to take care of it. When I called another company in the area, I spoke to a sales rep who was very friendly but unable to answer my questions, to the point of being comical. When I called Jaffe Electric, the line was answered by Steve Jaffe both times I called.

He was clear and answered my questions helpfully and was knowledgeable about updated guidelines. He immediately scheduled us for an appointment the next morning. The next day (i.e. this morning) Derrell (sp?) was early for the appointment, friendly, clearly knew what he was doing, and took care of all the installations efficiently. I'm sure it's cheaper to do it yourself but we're very glad we had experts come and take care of it for us. Very glad we called Jaffe and I will definitely be recommending them.

Called Jaffe Electric and spoke with Steve. He was very professional and responsive. He worked around my schedule and arrived on time. He provided his estimate in a timely fashion and ultimately won my business because of his work ethic. (I should mention his pricing was fair). On the day of installation, his employees showed up a few minutes early! (When does that happen?

Most companies give a window and can't even meet that). Not only did they show up on time, but they worked quickly and diligently. I'd highly recommend this company and I'll use them again in the future!

They were not able to diagnose the electrical problem, much less fix it. Charge for showing up: $400. Go elsewhere if you value results.

After another widely-known local outfit had utterly failed in attempting to fix a dead wall switch that sends power to a jetted tub, I contacted Jaffe Electric based on the excellent reviews. Chris and Mark were prompt, courteous, and very capable. They had the problem diagnosed and resolved in less than an hour. The service was outstanding and deserving of excellent reviews. I highly recommend Jaffe Electric.

Antonio and Mark came to the house today and I was so pleased that as they were leaving, I called Steve Jaffe to compliment them both. They were clean, very courteous and did the installations exactly how I wanted. Very pleased!

I would not recommend. Here is my story. I called them to get an estimate on installing an electric dryer. The technicians were friendly and arrived within the timeframe. The estimate for the work involved re-wiring the electrical connection, and the estimate was too high for me (I could use the existing gas connection on a gas dryer). I then told them I would agree to the work if they reduced the price from $678 to $600 (which was my cut-off from going from electric to gas dryer).

I even brought up the fact that they have a coupon on their website that states: "10% OFF SERVICE CALL! Receive 10% OFF SERVICE for jobs over $300. This offer is not valid with other discounts and does not include parts." This would put the discount at $68 which was close to my request of a reduction of $78. The manager would not honor the stated discount. Why?

He said the coupon applies to the service call fee. This makes no sense to me if the service call fee for one person is $150, and for two people it is $185. What irks me the most is that the manager/owner would lose a $600 gain for not honoring their own coupon. Says a lot about the company.

I had a great experience with Jaffe Electric. Their staff were punctual, easy to communicate with, and helpful with ideas about my home improvement project. They provided me with a detailed, reasonably priced quote. I would recommend them!

I submitted a request for an estimate for a chandelier installation and was told by the owner Steve Jaffe that my home is outside of the company's service area. My home is located in Maryland, 5 minutes from the DC border, and 20 minutes from Alexandria, Virginia. This company advertises that it services Maryland, DC, and Virginia, so I am a bit confused as to how my home is not within the service area.

Perhaps it is because my home is located in Prince George's County? If so, the owner should clarify on his website that his company services Maryland, DC, and Virginia, with the exception of Prince George's County.

I am fairly new to the area, and researched several companies before reaching out to Jaffe Electric. They had great reviews online, and gave me a very reasonable quote. The electrician, Darin, was extremely knowledgeable and installed a new electric box panel for my home. I am very satisfied with my experience and would highly recommend utilizing this company for any electrical need that you may have.

Steve Jaffe and his folks are amazing. AMAZING. They are honest, easy to work with, and will get the job done at a great price. I will use them every time I need an electrician. They did a major repair on my property (new panel, service entry cable, etc.) and were ridiculously efficient at getting the job done.
