I've called Joey several times to address problems with my 1920s rowhouse. He and his assistant Darwin are by far the best electricians I've worked with. They are incredibly thorough, explain things clearly, give me options, and are super prompt & professional. I had bizarro wiring in two rooms (when turned on, the lights would randomly cycle on and off) left over from a prior owner who DIY'd a significant 1980s renovation. Joey and Darwin quickly figured out and fixed the problem.

They also figured out why and fixed 2 heated bathroom floors when these stopped working and mapped out what outlets/appliances were on which circuits on my electrical panel after renovations in 2018 & 2019. Definitely worth every penny to have these sketchy remnants fixed.

Eric has been our go-to electrician for about 4 years now, and we won't go anywhere else! He provides timely, professional service (always with a smile!), knows what he is doing (nothing is a "problem" - Eric always has the answer and can take care of it immediately), is highly responsive and reliable, works neatly and has an eye for detail. He anticipates issues so he is never caught without the resources he needs. We are thrilled our real estate agent recommended Eric to us!

They came out and were super professional, transparent, helpful, and demonstrated confidence when we were facing an unknown power issue. They did major work outside with buried lines that took longer than expected given how deep the wires were and it was hot, but they worked diligently. They were friendly and considerate given the stress I had with having no power. I feel better knowing I have someone I can trust when I have a need for an electrician.

For several years now J&G Electric perform quarterly inspections for several of the properties we manage. Joey and Brandon have done an outstanding job every time. They promptly respond to emails and service requests. They also make sure you are aware of all the available options for repairs. I definitely recommend their services!

My experience with J&G has been nothing short of exceptional. We called them to run electric to our newly relocated A/C unit. A date was quickly scheduled and Joey and Darwin arrived promptly on time. J&G completed everything in a quick and timely manner. They even saved us from having to cut holes in our wall because of their knowledge of how our home was built. Joey was extremely helpful and explained what he was doing and why in a way I could easily understand. I would highly recommend the team at J&G.

J & G were quick to respond to our call. They asked many questions and we were able to solve our problem over the phone. They said they didn't want us to have to pay for a service call if we could fix it ourselves. Highly recommend.

I don't recommend working with this vendor. So I had a issue where I had to get an electrician and they had sent me a quote of $550. It was a little high but figured I give them a try since I used Angie's list and Angie's list had done well before. When I saw a charge for $650 rather than $550 I called the main person Joey and asked why the difference.

He insisted he said it was 650 the first time. When i kept reminding him of the $550 quote he said he now added the $100 for wasting his time on the phone? That makes no sense. Was pleasant to talk to at First and once done with the work he immediately turned to an asshole. I would recommend not doing business with them since they will rob you in your face. I'm waiting for the cc company to dispute the difference. I have no problem paying for a service but be honest about what you are doing rather then stab your customers in the back once done.

I am really disappointed with the job by J&G Electric, but mostly by the poor customer service received when I brought up my concern of over payment. I was quoted for $229 to install a pendant light, and I ended up paying $542! That was more than what I paid for the actual light fixture. I'm shocked that they didn't honor my complaint due to the fact that the installer had to come back twice to figure out the problem, of which I had to do research to figure out myself. Granted, my light was unique and one of a kind, but circuitry is circuitry and the electrician did not know how to troubleshoot properly.

I paid more than $500 for an installation that wasn't complete, a huge mess left on my table below the installation, and for providing my own advice on how to wire correctly. What I'm most upset about is that I called to share my concern with the owner a few days later, and he did not budge at all with the pricing and didn't want to fix the issue.

Great costumer experience. Joey and Brandon worked with me closely to wire up a sauna for me. They ensured they understood the requirements and gave me a much better than expected quote that I had received from others. They worked with me and the sauna company to coordinate deliver and installation. Darwin arrived at the time scheduled to do the work and was extremely professional. I've found the only electrician I will call in the future for any of my electrical needs. I highly recommend this entire team!

Hired Joey Bellosi July 2017 for various items to fix via my home inspection report. He was eager to offer suggestions, recommendations and add his stickers to my electrical box. His assistant even fixed the handle on my downstairs french door. He's available for hire M-F 7a-4p and will call back during these hours if you call on the weekend.

When he comes to your home make sure you know exactly what you want done and keep to that schedule. Don't let him control the appointment or your time will pass and you won't get to everything needed in the half hour appointment. He will point it out when you've reached that time and you'll be charged accordingly. He is a master electrician (MD #2531) and insured (Certificate of Insurance available).

Keep in mind, he's EXPENSIVE. His rate is $656 per hour. He offers half hour appointments ($229 for him & $99 for his assistant) and you can find coupons on his website (jandgelectric.com). He even has a YouTube video he made a few years ago of him installing recessed LED lighting for a customer.

I can't say enough about this company. If you have an electrical issue and want a response quickly, completed professionally, explained completely, and priced competitively, look no further. I've had Joey and others at my sons house to troubleshoot and repair all DIY previous homeowners attempt to wire entire garage and outside landscape lighting.

Everyone I have met, or spoke with in this company is a pro, and their work shows it. There are no shortcuts, these guys do it correctly. What are you waiting for, make the call.

Due to a power outage in the middle of the summer, I called around the Gaithersburg area for an emergency electrician, and J&G came to the rescue. The good stuff: - Answered my panicky phone call at 6:30am on a weekend, kudo points - Communicated great about arrival time - Most importantly, figured out the issue and honored the over-the-phone rate The eh: - It wasn't until I got several other electricians calling me back that I realized J&G's pricing is much more expensive than others.

Though I can't speak about other electrician's work. Overall I'd recommend J&G Electric for the quality work, though still take the time to call several companies to price compare if it's a simple job.

We had an urgent kitchen appliance issue. Joey was not able to come in until the next week but offered to walk me through how to test if it was a power issue or an appliance issue. It was really easy for him to just say "Busy, sorry." but he took the extra few minutes to give me free advice. I'd hire him if I could wait but if he's that responsive and helpful without even knowing my name, then he's someone I would be glad to give business to.

I purchased a hot tub in January. I was given a referral for 4 companies. I contacted all 4, J and G was the only one the contacted me back within a reasonable time. I spoke to Eric who came out the same week for an estimate. I scheduled my appointment for the same day as delivery. The hot tub was installed today 5/2/17. Eric called and asked if he could show up at 7:15 am to begin the work. Eric showed up at 7:10. Un heard of!

Besides being extremely respectful and personable he did an OUTSTANDING JOB! He also installed an outlet outside that I added at the last minute. Price was competitive. I HIGHLY recommend this company and will be using them for other projects in the near future

I have dealt with J&G several times over the past 6 months and couldn't be more pleased with my experience. Joey, the master electrician, has a knack for explaining things clearly and simplistically so that even a caveman like myself can understand the problem, and recommended repairs. The other thing I like is how the customer is able to send pictures and videos via text directly to Joey in order for him to give a preliminary estimate before coming out. Saves time from having to take off work in order to schedule an appointment just for an estimate.

I have also concluded that Joey is fair and honest with his repair costs based on my past experience with other contractors. Joey and his worker were also extremely careful not to damage anything while working in a tight area and wore booties on their shoes while walking on the carpet. Overall they were extremely conscientious. In conclusion, I would highly recommend J&G for any interior or exterior electrical needs.

These guys are great! They show up on time, do quality work, and have reasonable prices. Response time and scheduling were easy. I have used them several times for electrical issues at my places in DC and Reston, VA and will continue doing so. Can't recommend them enough.

My husband and I replaced our exterior lights on the front of the house. Joey did the job and did it beautifully. He was prompt, efficient and helpful about what we could do to be more energy efficient with our new lights and get more life out of them. Joey was very good about keeping us reminded about his visit to our home and posted about his arrival time. He was very personable as well. I would not hesitate to recommend J&G and feel very lucky to have found this company.

Highlights: Electrician (Eric) is prompt, reliable, efficient, friendly, and HONEST! Scheduling was a breeze. I can't believe my unbelievable luck finding these guys. They were recommended by a mommy listserv (MOTH - Mom's on the Hill) and they were incredible. When I left a voicemail and the electrician (Eric) called by immediately. We were able to schedule an appointment right away.

The other companies that I called waited a full week before returning my call - if they returned my call at all. Our problem was that our stove, and two electrical plugs weren't working. Prior to having J & G come out, we had our friend come over to diagnosis the problem. Our friend swapped out some electrical things - but we still weren't able to get the electrical outlets or oven to work.

When Eric arrived, he fixed it by pressing the reset button. Doh! Since we had him around, he looked at two other smaller jobs. He looked at our doorbell - which broke as soon as we moved in. He said that it was wireless. We had him look at our outside light. He determined that it was a broken sensor. He said that it would be cheaper just to replace the battery or doorbell, and to buy a new light. He was incredibly honest - to say the least. He didn't charge a thing. I will definitely use them next time. He's really familiar with old row houses.
