We had a new custom home built and we decided that based on the amount of underground lines in the neighborhood, a standby generator would be a good idea. They aren't cheap, so we were thoughtful about who we selected to do the work, and Boyland did an excellent job. Our job was slightly more complicated in that more trips were required due to the new construction and handle any snags, and they cheerfully assisted and had excellent responsiveness. I would absolutely work with them again.

The Boyland Electric techs have been servicing our Generac generator for years and have always done exemplary work! We've never had any issues with the unit thanks to them. Will continue to support their business!

We have been using Boyland since we had our generator installed and they have done a great job making sure it stays running correctly. The repair team is excellent and after each maintenance they explain if there are any issues. When scheduled to be here they are always on time.

Boyland Electric has been servicing my generator for the last 8 years+. I remember when my wife and first moved-in. the power went out and the generator didn't kick in. I reached out to neighbors and two of them recommended Boyland. I called Boyland. but a tech couldn't come out. (already out on emergency calls) but I tech was nice enough to call me back an tell me how to get the generator (battery died) going.

My wife and I have 4 kids. 1 of which was a baby at the time. so this was life saver. A tech came out the next morning. appears the generator hadn't been serviced in yrs. Over the years, I've had them do various lite electrical work that I didn't feel comfortable doing. Always very professional, straight forward and very forthright with their opinion (even when it was NOT what I wanted to hear). I would definitely recommend them. to me their team is very knowledgeable but most important of all very honest.

I have used Boyland for installing ceiling fans & other electrical work & have been very pleases. Have a full maintenance contract with them for my full house Generac generator for the last several years & extremely happy. We have been with Boyland Electric for at least 8 years for our Generac service. It's nice to not have to worry about my generator not working when an emergency pops up. they have been excellent in service.

Boyland installed my Generac whole house generator several years ago and has provided biannual service ever since. The installation went smoothly and they have kept it running well ever since. Technicians are always timely and thorough. No complaints.

Purchased a home that had a Generac generator. First time I've had a home with a generator, but it proved very useful due to many power outages in the DC-MD-VA area this year. Annual servicing of generator had already been paid by prior home owner. When I had a slight problem with the generator, I called Boyland and they were very responsive. I've transferred the service from the old homeowner to my name and renewed annual maintenance service. Boyland has been very easy to work with and provided lots of info on the system installed at my house.

I do not want to think about my generator. It has to be maintained. Boyland comes, goes and makes sure it is functional. Their pricing for generator maintenance is very competitive. And whenever the techs have to replaces something (which is rare), my interaction with them has always been positive.

Boyland even came and took out my oil tank and installed natural gas for my home's heating system. They have sold me a great smart generator after generator. They are there for you. I love them.

We finally got a whole-house, automatic on generator three years ago. We bought it through Boyland and they did a great job installing it. We also use them to maintain it with twice-a-year visits. We highly recommend them.

We went with Boyland as on various websites they had received top scores, and we can attest that they were great from start to finish. The 2 man crew arrived on time and were very professional. Even the pad they put it on looks great. Others had shown me a standard pad, but this looks very upscale, sounds like a small thing, but its the small attention to detail that matters. We highly recommend Boyland.

Outstanding work every step of the way. The generator installation job was organized, explained, documented and perfectly coordinated from beginning to end. They literally took care of everything, including all the Generac paperwork, inspections, warranties, rebates, etc. Their price was competitive and the owner worked with me to find a location for the generator that would cost less and pass inspection. The other companies that gave me quotes didn't do that. Boyland really was a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend them.

We have been using Boyland Electric to do annual service on our Kohler natural gas house generator. Their techs are great. We had a problem with the firmware and the tech was able to quickly figure out the problem and fix it. He had gone through Kohler training. When I was checking out companies for annual servicing, Boyland had the best terms. I'm satisfied with our relationship.

Hired boyland to move a generator that was installed in violation of building code by prior owner. Quote came in significantly lower than competing Generac dealers and company owner got personally involved to make sure project was done properly. Seamless, low maintenance experience for pulling permits, scheduling approvals etc. No burden on the customer.

Friendly office personnel, business has a family feel in a good way. A welcome breath of fresh air in the market as the generator companies seem to have generally low standards for dealer approval.

This only gets one star because the electrician himself did a good job and was very easy to work with. However their pricing policy is borderline criminal. They charged me an hour and a half for labor and only half that time was doing work, the other half was driving to get to the parts. They also added a $22 truck charge. I've worked with other electricians who do not have this policy. AVOID if you don't want to get ripped off.

Gavin and the staff in the office are terrific. I had a hard time finding a reliable electrician to repair an older Kohler generator. Boyland was responsive, arrived on time, and followed through on their work when it took Kohler awhile to supply a part. I couldn't be happier.

We went through 3 companies to try and repair our Generac generator. Boylands came out as scheduled on a rainy miserable day, pitched up a tent and went to work. Cant say enough about Gavin and his helper. verr knowledgabe and professional. Great Job. Will now use them for service contract.
