San Franciscans Nick Dutto and Dave Lindt established Metro Electric in 1981 with a single used pickup truck and little capital. The two founders did it all, with Dave in the office and Nick in the field. The partners successfully grew Metro Electric and soon purchased the building where they had originally rented an office.
Metro Electric offers 24/7 service, support, and emergency repair for the electrical, communications and wireless divisions. Our fleet of service vans is standing by 24/7 to meet your every need. Our 22,000-sq-ft warehouse is stocked with emergency material to back up the rolling stock in each of our vans.
Metro Electric's comprehensive in-house safety program is among the best in the electrical contracting industry. We mandate ongoing safety training on a weekly basis, and frequently hold job site visitations and reporting by safety committee members. We require safety training orientation seminars for new employees and hold monthly safety committee meetings.
Metro Electric is much more than just a successful electrical construction business; it is a part of the community. Realizing that we are so fortunate to have the success we have had for over 30 years, Nick Dutto and his entire staff put a high priority on giving back. Here are just a handful of the organizations Metro Electric is proud to be a part of through our Serving the Community Program:.

Outstanding! There was an initial glitch in the DAS that they had installed. However, when they were made aware of it they came back and went above and beyond to rectify the problem. Reid was in constant communication with me about the project. I never once had to pester him about the status of the project.which I find more and more rare these days with some vendors.
Their installers were right on time and very professional. Very important in the hotel that I work in. Will absolutely use them again. Don"Doc"Ward Chief Engineer Hotel e Santa Rosa, Ca.

Can't attest to their services, but their wreckless driving is notable. If you see one of their trucks, stay as far away as possible. We almost got rammed twice within 20 seconds. It's one thing to not drive safely, and an entirely different thing to drive like that with a company's name on your vehicle. Might want to consider educating your employees of the concept.

Installed street lighting in our community. Failed to follow our requirement and now have lights shining directly into multiple home's. When requested to fix the problem, Metro Electric failed to do so. We did not want to pay for the incorrect work done. In return they had their lawyers contact us demanding payment threatening to send us to collections. Horrible experience. Stay away from this company.

Finally, a professional electrician who know their stuff and gets the job done! We've been reticent about electricians b/c our prior experience wasn't done properly and cost too much. I'm stoked with his work and knowledge. He even is going beyond and offered to bring us the proper lightbulbs when he picks up parts for the next project we're having him work on.
