Older models are a big drain. Rebates exist or replacement and the money saved on your monthly bill reduces payback time.

This was my experience. I called them to check on living room, bathroom, and hallway light that were flickering. Two guys come to my house. I asked them if they had shoe coverings, they did not. I asked them to take off their shoes. We have hardwood floors and little kids (Asian family we don't wear shoes in the house). They were annoyed (grumbling), but obliged.
They come in and stare at the problem areas, tell me that I need to just replace the bulbs. I was like are you sure, you don't need to do any tests or anything? They were like, "Yes we are sure." They leave, no explanation, I'm out $160. They took longer taking their shoes on and off than inspecting the house.

Sesco recently installed our chandelier and did a great job! Virginia was super responsive on email and the process of assessment to final install was really smooth. Hugo and team were faced with a difficult install in the middle of a great room with a 22ft ceiling. They did a great job and I would recommend them for your projects!

Absolutely amazing! Virginia went above and beyond to keep me updated on the techs arrival. They needed 20 plus foot ladders down flights of stairs to change out our living room smoke detector, as we live in the hills. There were 7 more besides that one on various floors. The guys were absolutely the best electricians I have come across, courteous, hardworking, wearing masks during the heat. Highly recommended Sesco Electrical!

Hugo is the best electrician I've met. He came up with solutions that other electricians didn't, and his options were more affordable. Also, he knew how to add new electrical receptacles without damaging the wall, which minimized the cost for wall-patching work. He knows what he's doing. He's professional and down-to-earth. I cannot be happier.

They are very incompetent contractors. During the house renovation project, they demanded extra payment that wasn't in the contract and did not supply an add-service for it. Basically they held up the project by demanding extra money in order to close the permit. The project took way longer than it should have been because of their incompetency.
I did not even want to bother writing a yelp review for a long time because I was furious about how they handled the project. But I thought people need to know that we had a terrible experience with them and we will never recommend them to anyone. If you want your project to go south and have a massive headache, go ahead!

GREAT experience! The technician showed up on time, was polite, professional, skilled and confident! Quickly diagnosed the problem and recommended a less-costly repair option. He let me get the needed part (new 240-volt outlet and plug) and waited until I got back. The repair is solid and works well and he UNDERCHARGED for the 2-hour job! Great service!

We hired them for solar installation. They have installed our 10.07 KWp solar for our home. They are very professional and continued to support us even after the installation if we had any questions. The entire process was refreshingly efficient and their communication is great. Couldn't speak more highly of the job everyone there did for us, I am happy with service, I just hope though they could be a little less expensive. Other than that happy.

Getting the quote went smoothly, and the guy seemed competent. The estimated price was reasonable. Then everything went horribly wrong. It was impossible to schedule with their electrician. When he did show up, the work was slow, with no explanation as to why. Then the worst part: I was charged 3 times what they estimated! I am new to the area and moved here with a young child. Who does that to a young family? Buyer be warned. I would recommend finding anyone else. :

Repeat performance. One of the 8 apartments in this 100 year-old building was vacated so this was an excellent opportunity to upgrade. As usual, Greg came up with an innovative way to gain access to all areas by creating a small access door into the attic. A new 20/30 electrical distribution panel was installed in the unit's hall fed by 60 amps from the main panel. I am pleased to say the job was done efficiently and with integrity. I'll stick with Sesco Electrical!

We had Sesco Electrical install a new electric panel, hardwired lighting in our newly purchased condo, and upgrade the wiring (pre-renovation) in our kitchen, and install undercabinet LED lights in January-February 2016. The workmanship / professionalism displayed by Pietsa, Greg and their team was nothing short of superb! During each step of the process, Greg (and Pietsa) were extremely transparent, outlined our options and helped to identify the best path forward for our renovation and finished all work ON time and on budget!
Would highly recommend Sesco for any of your electrical needs AND will definitely be using them again in the future! Post-work note: 1 year after completing the job, we reached out to Sesco because a baseboard heater in our dining room wasn't turning on. Less than 24 hours after sending Regina an e-mail, Greg came over and fixed the problem immediately! Customer satisfaction / quality work is something they take very seriously - thank you, Greg (and Regina) for addressing our concerns in such a timely fashion!

I used Sesco several years ago, long before I used Yelp. Recently needed a electrition and noticed I had not reviewed them. I manage a 10,000 square foot Historical residence in the Berkeley hills. The team at Sesco did a spectacular job replacing our main service from the pole to all new panels. The house is a 100 years old all concrete and all projects are complicated.
Not only did Sesco have to deal with the usual permits but also had to negotiate a solution between PG&E and the city landmarks commission that took a lot of extra effort in their part. All work was completed without issues. Great communication. They also did a small job replacing a bunch of sconces, I was as happy with the service on the small job as I was on the big job. Will be using them again this week.
